Just curious what's worked best for you.
I'll start: Yeh it's this simple and it seems to work for me... Initial setup + backlinks with anchor text (& some non anchor text links) and a mix of follow and ********s...rinse repeat. Doesn't even require massive juicing in most markets to get some poppage ESP when using exact match, keyword rich domains.
1) Onsite optimization (title, h1, body text) - Check
2) Deep links - Check (gotta have em, G loves em)
3) Relevant forum & blog backilnks - Check
4) Pepper in a few articles across some of the ******** juicy sites - Check
5) Piggyback link operations. Yes, fire up that backlink scraping tool you have and run down your competitors lists for potential link hittage.
