If you HAD to choose between BigCommerce and Magento as a CMS for a small company, which would you choose and why?

I'm familiar with Magento to a certain extent, but I haven't heard much about BigCommerce. What's its deal? Is it better than Magento in any capacity?

Note: There will be 3000+ products, and cost isn't a big concern.

I just know Magento, and its working fine for me.

3000+ products is not big for today eCommerce system.. You can go up to 25000. if go more than that you need check..If you need any help please let me know. I ll help you.

BigCommerce or Shopify if you don't have development skills/patience
Magento if you need a platform that will scale as you scale above 1MM in revenue/sales

Is BigCommerce hosted by them like Shopify?

I have used Magneto and hate it. The programmers charge you so much for every single change and upgrades. If you can find something else I would go with that instead. That is just my personal opinion.
