BigBuddy's App$ = $$$$$ - Case Study [Designer Wallpaper App - iOS & Android]

I just looked at your app landing website. It's beautiful. Did you do it yourself or edit a template? I need some one page responsive scrolling landing page templates similar to the OP's one for my apps. Does anyone knows where to get them at low price but good quality?

It was a $6 template I bought from themeforest

Hi everyone,

Nick from Airpush here.
I would like to say that our Android monetization SDKs work great with live wallpaper apps. Our Bundle 1 SDK includes our new 360 banners, smart wall, and our pay per download ad type, where you can earn up to $0.04 per new USA user install and EULA (end user license agreement) opt in, along with CPMs on the other ads.

For 3rd party markets, our Bundle 2 SDK pays purly on the install and EULA opt in of your users, at up to $0.05 world wide, and a $50 eCPM.

PM me if you want to chat further.

Cheers,
Airpush Nick

Really, I'm inspired from you. Congrats for Apps & Downloading your app.

Can you post some stats about your installs and earnings? :) Looks really interested. I hope someday i can manage to try it as well!

I've actually been thinking about creating a game app. Both this and Bigbuddy's thread are inspiring. Best of luck with earnings. Keep us updated as well.

1100+ downloads so far. Money spent on FB ads $838. Revenue - $25.

I'm kind of strugling with ASO and monetization, BigBuddy has agreed to help me. My developers took a small break after launching the app. I will keep updating with further progress

You are following the wrong route IMHO. BigBuddy said that the key is virality that results in zero $ spent on advertising - when app is viral, the player invites their friends to your game in order to challenge him.

You basically have no virality in your app.

I'd recommend you to stop spending bucks on FB, but send announcement of your app to editors of app review sites. You can use iSpreadNews for that - they can send announcement to 900+ editors of popular app review sites all over the world (otherwise you will spend 2-3 weeks doing it manually).

Yeah, I spoke to bigbuddy. I've stopped the campaigns 2 weeks before. BB has agreed to help me with ASO :)

Hello, just a quick question so it took 3 months to do the code .. ? So there's no chance if I want an app to be able to lunch it after new year is there... ?

App development time can be anywhere between 1 day and 2 years depending on the size of the app and you or your team's programming experience.

A shortcut would be to use reskin of existing app if you are rushing to launch it. Look for companies in emerging countries that are offering cheap reskin service. I am not suggesting that their quality is good (the one that I am using is quite good) but at least for a start when your budget is low, you should try to keep cost down and turn in a profit. In fact, the one that I am using charges only a flat $150 for a reskin regardless of complexity of app and with original graphics (but not the audio).

Facebook ads..well.. I would say gone are the days that you can get cheap mobile installs in large quantities. For small budgets like $10 etc, it is easy to find pennies for install but it is totally not scalable. The more installs you try to get, the more expensive FB ads becomes.

Try to maybe publish your website to css galleries (just google 'css galleries') even though it's a themeforest template -> this will give you some small but steady traffic. Since you have some wallpapers maybe try also using pinterest a little bit -> pickup some nice wallpaper openned inside your app.

Any updates? I enjoyed this thread and would be curious to hear!

Thanks...
