Anyone else seeing a major shakeup in who owns the featured snippets for terms you follow?
Almost every keyword that I look at regularly has a different website taking the featured snippet now than it has for the past several months. In the keywords I follow those things have been remarkably stable for at least the last 6 months. Today they almost all changed.
I lost a bunch, but also gained a few. I haven't discerned in any pattern to who gained and who lost. Of course, other than obvious things (like having a properly structured webpage and directly answering the query related to the snippet) it was never totally clear why a few sites were dominating those things to begin with.
