Big problem with my account here

I signed up on BHW today and posted exactly two replies (before posting this one).

That indicator showing how many posts you're allowed daily showed 3 however so I checked my post history (you can check it too by clicking on my username).

Something is seriously messed up here. Either there's another geegel around here or there is an error somewhere. Either way, this thing should be fixed.

there is no indicator showing how many posts you are allowed daily... you can post as much as you want.

Oh. I was looking at the today item and misinterpreted it. My bad.

This is not the problem though. If you go and check my post history via "Find all posts" you will see 16 of them. These are real posts, are under my name and I never wrote them. This is the problem.

I have the same problem. I lost all my posts from my first account (maybe they're the ones you have) and my new account (needed because BHW crashed) has someone elses messages in.

Maybe a moderator can agree to let me see you mails to check if they're mine?

Post count is disabled in many sections like this one too ...

Yes I did read that thread. And that's not my problem. I'm not complaining that I have too few posts, I'm complaining that I have TOO MANY. True, visible only in the fashion I described, but still rather disturbing.

There have been some issues since the last db issue. In fact someone created a new account at that time and found a bunch of old PMs in his PM area that were accredited to him.

Just one of those quirks.

Edit: I noticed one of the posts in Geegle's profile was signed by "jester"; and I seem to remember someone here who used to have that as part of his nickname.

It may be that after the DB crash the restore somehow merged posts from two separate users. That's the only thing I can come up with, unless your account really was hacked. Which would make no sense, if the person was just going to post replies with your account...

Either way, just change your password to something difficult to guess, just incase.

Well, the value and resources for this forum far overweight any glitch that I have to put up with. I had to re-reg too and lost 8 posts and some 'thanks but.. I am just glad it's back. Glitchy or not!

Don't worry about it. Just move on and enjoy.
