Well IG is Facebook 2.0. No wonder they will add the analytics in the end.
 
The update is one of the biggest! It is the start of commercialising IG. Very likely on the costs of the users to build up their followers easily without advertising. I wonder what they will do against the bots as it will be now even more against their interests.

In fact, I would be careful to use bots until it is clear if changed something to track users who are using them and if the updates have an impact on finding bots managed accounts.
 
This update is all a waste of time if it means that the stats will only be avaliable of your account is a business one. What info so you need to provide to become a 'business' account?

I'd rather continue to syphon my tax free undisclosed earnings via the current underworld methods.
 
From where he collect this info ?

I agree that this is a big update and it will most likely affect many once it is all done.
 
Pretty basic if you ask me. But all IG is focused on is making money via advertising so this is all part of that.

As for bots, they already know every botted account. They care most about spam, not really botting if the rest of the account is pretty much normal.

A lot of big business accounts use bots just because it's easier. They can't just ban all bots. Plus, as they learned, a big bot ban makes investors and advertisers nervous.

If anything, I bet they crack down on spammers/links more than they do bots. They are going to make it very hard to sell anything on your own via IG without being in their "business" plan.
 
I hope this isn't only available to buisnesses. I would love to be able to see the analytics for each post.

Think so to, IG know the bottet accounts but its also profit for IG.
