BIG DOG Instagram Journey

Solid game plan, and quality usernames can greatly increase your appeal to specific advertisers for the big bucks later on.

Best of luck!

After the latest developments with Instagram, I've decided to minimize future investment lol. While I really don't think their ads are going to take away from the possibility of paid posts and shoutouts from my accounts, it still just doesn't help any. So basically I'm going to quit bidding on the last account and roll with 4. I'm not worried about my investment because I wanted to get the $300 username as a personal and the $800 is worth it no matter what. Then I only spent a little over $100 on the other 2 combined.

So funny story I just realized I had a 13.1k Instagram account that I had forgotten about (This only happens when you have a million different social media accounts). This one doesn't exactly have a one word username but it is still solid. This might be a good test to see how fast a non-OG username grows in comparison to them. Now I have 5 accounts, which is what I wanted to do this journey with, so that's good.

Awesome Journey. I have noticed IG banning a few accounts for spam and also only allowing comments on smaller accounts. Even just saying something like "wow" gets an alert pop up - especially the big accounts seem to get a "sorry we limit certain actions to protect our community"

PS: a great source of Instagram inspiration is with knightofarmor's 1 year journey. Slow and steady is key to getting going with IG and to stay away from automated services. I have also been getting 2 of my own IG accounts going and hopefully be able to cross promote them once they gain traction

I'm also growing 5 accounts, still at 8k-10k. Good luck, you seem to know what you're doing!

Oh, so the best stuff you're good at is coding but you buy such a shitty bot? (Actually its a good bot compared to any other bot about any other social media, but a customized one, will run just x1000 times better if you know how to code/who to pay to code)

no offense meant. but as atleast you understood its better to work (use your time) on long term stuff than short term ones, I may already say buying that public bot, as any other public stuff which is not accepted by TOS of the target thing/site, is a bad first step already.

I definitely considered creating my own bot, especially since I've worked with a lot of social media APIs recently. But using APIs in a white hat manner and creating a bot are much different. And the one social network I surprisingly haven't had to mess with is Instagram, and if their restrictions/application process is anything like Facebook and their API, it could be a huge headache. Not to mention that my new API credentials would be watched very closely. Between the application processes and development it would take me at least 1.5-2 weeks to have a minimum viable product, that's with the bot being a focus.

A non-API based bot would actually be safest in my opinion. But browser emulation and stuff isn't something I'm familiar with, unless I'm using an autoclicker for a bot I'd have to do some learning to create a bot like that.

Spent some time today and configured the accounts on FollowLiker, I still have a little bit to do for the photo sharing part of it but I should be able to get that done tonight. Did a small run with my $300 username account, saw almost a 50% follow back when I followed 200 people last night. I have the account set to private since I only have 2 images posted on it. Hopefully all the accounts can grow like this.

I don't know much about IG, never used it before but now I think I might be missing a big opportunity. Your journey will help me to learn a lot of things about IG, which I can use in future. Good luck on your journey mate :)

So it looks like all hell is breaking loose when it comes to Instagram bans/soft bans.

I have every account in follow liker now. I'm really trying to determine the settings I should work with. Right now I have the 4 accounts running at this.

Liking:
250-350 likes a day, in a 12 hour time window, 80-120 second delay.

Following
185-250 likes a day, in a 12 hour time window, 80-120 second delay.

Posting:
2-4 times a day, 7000-1000 second delay, in 12 hour time window (separate instance of FL).

I'm trying to decide whether or not this is a safe pace. It appears commenting is leading to most of the bans so I am going to stay away from commenting. These accounts all have some age on them as well. What do you guys think? Some of you have more Instagram experience than me, so if you think I should tone it down more to be safe let me know.

But for now here is a look at current standings:

Account 1
Followers: 9782

Account 2
Followers: 328

Account 3
Followers: 13110

Account 4
Followers: 13077

Account 5

Followers: 4

Total Followers: 36301

Note this is before I've even started any FollowLiker, I'm still going to gauge it and will start sometime this week, but I want to make sure things are going alright first...

Looking good, where did you buy the accounts? sorry if it has already been answered, I skimmed through but couldn't find it.

Cheat bait on this thread. Good luck with your journey. 2016 is to far so you may get 1m followers.

I mentioned it in the 18th post of this thread. You'll need to read the entire post if you even want to consider buying accounts there anyway.

I think your settings in FL are quite low. Do you run the bot on a VPS? If so, set the delays to 90-100 and you can follow 500-600, like 500-600 too (with slightly lower delay for likes).

So, Big dog is back, huh? Just Kidding.

Wish a very best for your journey.

Do you recommend any alternate avenues to drive traffic based on your experience. Perhaps Twitter sister account?
