BIG Budget - IG Follower Promotion

Can you share more insights on this method. I have beauty niche account 10k followers, would like to grow it to 100k by end of 2020.

There are companies that help you run contest / giveaway. In a nutshell you can do a contest where there are multiple sponsors that offer some sort of prizes. For example your 10k page can offer $100 Sephora gift card while another sponsor could be beauty brand that offers some of their product and so on. So let's say you have 10 sponsors who collectively offer 10 prizes worth $1000 and 100k total followers. They will all post contest details on their pages and the rules of the contest will be that participants must follow / like all of the sponsors + tag multiple friends + post on FB / etc. All the contest sponsors tend to be in similar niches and cross promote and therefore get each others followers andt their friends.

Contests / Give-aways give SHIT followers. I would never spend any money on this, and even if it was free i wouldn't.

Have been tested once, not gonna do it twice :)

What is your niche / what were the prizes and what was your experience?

The niche doesn't matter. I'm in the travel niche, and it was a photography / travel Give-away, a big one. But people only think about numbers, not quality of followers. Sadly..

- Followers from give-away ; do they really want to follow you ? No. Did they even checked you content ? No. Did they even liked 1 of your posts ? No.

- So what do they want ? The prize. And they followed you + 29 others in a matter of 25 seconds.

People that pay for Give away these days ... Didn't get anything of what needs an account in term of organic engagement. So let's double the audience, and divide the ER :D

I have to disagree with you that niche doesn't matter. Different niches have different content and different kinds of followers. Generic travel page that reposts images of travel destinations might not same kind of engagement as compared to a personal page of one person that travels the world and posts original content. Furthermore certain types of niches might have die hard fans who are extremely engaged. Let's say there is a contest involving giveaway of some expensive and rare sneakers ($500+) and during that contest a bunch of new followers start following a new page of content they love. As die hard sneakerheads they would gladly continue to follow good sneaker page that will provide them with new content they want to see and there might other contests that this page will offer in the future.

If you bait people first then you can get 120k for like $1300-$1600, less if you are doing things right

I said the niche doesn't matter, saying that no matter which niche you're gonna try to be (even if right niche or not) for your give-away, the followers you'll get from any niche, will be shit.

- In other words : even if it's your niche, followers quality will be shit. That's a fact.

- Followers who spam the Follow button on these 30 accounts have a "secondary account" specially created for these give-aways. = Dead follower. And if it's their main account, they won't even see your content once, unless you got the chance to "appear" on their feed, at the top (before they ask themself "Who is he/she ?" -> Oh yeah, from the last give-away, i forgot to unfollow him because anyway, i lost :) And here goes the mass unfollow after a few days.
But the unfollow bleeding won't stop for weeks, as everyone knows.

- A good follower is a follower who pressed the button by its own. Not because there was a reward at the end :)
As a matter of fact, any influencers that only grew through GA have shit engagement. No one can say the opposite. And so, it's time to delete the acc !

Increasing number of followers leads to a decrease in ER, as the engagement won't really go up. Well, pissed off doing maths but ya see my points : say Adios to Explore page

Have to agree with this. I did a big promotion which was meant to reach 500K followers. I picked up a few hundred new ones which all deleted me straight after.

Thanks all for all the insights on campaigns - it was interesting to see both sides of the story.

For now seems like I need to stay away from giveaways.

Insta Guru's - Any thoughts on monetizing insta account with 10k followers? I have not done any monetization until now.
