Big accounts with no posts and redirect in bio

I quite often come across accounts like the one in the attached screenshot.

They're usually accounts that previously had a lot of followers, but they've deleted all their posts (or maybe IG removed them for some reason?) and they have their new IG handle in the bio.

Anyone know why this is?

Could they be re-starting after a shadowban to regain engagment?

Or did they lose their account but were still able to edit the bio to redirect to their new one somehow?

An account with 300 followers is not even close to a 'big' account.
And in many cases where an empty instagram profile has 10k-20k+ followers, it is because they have purchased fake/bot followers from smm panel(s)

Of course I know that 300 isn't a big account . But previously this was a big account (I guess the followers left when the posts got removed) and now the accounts linked from the bio (for the same person) have lots of followers.

Isn't that a typical child account which is only used to direct traffic to other accounts?
It looks a bit poorly because it doesn't use any pictures, but disregarding that, it perfectly fits a so-called child account
 
No, what happened was that they changed the username of the "big" account and then created a new account with the old username (or changed a different account to that username) since it was then available.

Yeah but why would they delete all the posts from that account and create a new one instead of just changing their handle?
 
maybe because this tezzamb tried to get the tezza username that was from someone esle, then changed her username from tezzamb to tezza in the main account, then changed the tezza username on the other account that she bought or created to tezzamb and deleted the posts
 
Her account name was tezzamb before and then Instagram asked to verify her. So because it's her brand name she keeps it on the separate account - tezzamb - and her main verified account is now only tezza. A lot of accounts do that. She grew organically - her content is amazing!

Not always something black hat about it ;)
 
Yeah her content does look great.

You might well be right, but why not just change her handle on the account rather than deleting all posts and creating a new account.
