There is also one on SEO myths, quite educational. Just like this thread is.

Has nothing to do with elite at all. I know one forum where you get banned for some of the questions mentioned here.

As Amsterdammer rightly said, the answers are right in front of you! Even newborn babies learn within minutes where to find their food, and how to get it inside. They are not expected to learn that on a forum. The same way, find the very fundamentals by looking into the pages, and there is the search button as well as Google to help initially.

Members have explained the same very basic things many times, but some people don't even read that after putting up those very basic questions. Hence this thread is so popular...

Is it OK to do black hat on a Mac? (that's my favorite)

All you black hat guys are ruining the search results for all of us who are dong SEO the right way......

I don't do use any black hat methods because that's unethical!
Is black hat cheating?
Is black hat fair?
Is black hat breaking the law?
What if I get caught?
What if Google finds out that I broken their user agreement?
What if my client finds out that I was using black hat techniques on his site...... oh no!
Is automated link building faster that doing it by hand?
Why did my site get banned? All I did was run nuke and xrummer all day everyday on three keywords like a dude told me to???
I could do this all day....

Someone should do a poll and we could come up with a top ten list.
