Hi, I'll try to present you, what should be done, and I will be offering the best methods (my view)
I am not the one who carries knowledge, but ideas.
That being said, I understand that it's easier to say than done.
1) Spammers
No matter if they post random or unique content, there should be a rule that block posting.
Rule cannot be written simple, it has to be advanced, with levels.
How it looks:
After 1st reply or thread post there is a time frame of 30 seconds
After 2nd reply or thread post there is a time frame of 30 seconds
This means that After the user reply/thread post, it should be a 30 seconds without another reply/thread activity
After 3rd reply there should be at least 60 seconds of delay
After 4th reply there should be at least a 120 seconds of delay
If these rules are broken, User certain posts should be hidden
This action holds until the mod do a manual review
It is really unreal for a human to be this quick and reasonable with his activity at the same time.
2) Disabling Posts
So, many BHW users are often unhappy with some forums.
We could mark this as: It's a taste.
If BHW Staff decide to workout this subject, I believe that everything is very clean about this one.
You don't like a certain post, open it and from there, you should be able to disable it (hide it for you)
3) Bumping Old Threads
I will stop here shortly to say you something guys.
You run this forum, Staff/Mods are mostly serving your commands.
Use that REPORT BUTTON and don't Bump these threads behind the random guys, saying em, why you done this.
Instead, click Report button and type something like: Thread should be locked.
4) Scammers, the Most Important Battle
We need to understand how this works 1st:
Being a Jr Vip member is not that hard.
Providing a service to serve a single Mod is not that hard.
Boom, here you have it, your Sales Thread.
And let me say this: I completely agree with everything above, I would not change anything!
BUT, we have a problem, let's call it : authority abusing.
Let's assume that for whatever reason, the seller becomes unable to provide his service.
(his service is %100 dead, poof)
Do you know what that means?
It means that seller can make more money that he made ever before, selling on BHW.
This is what happens in most of cases, and here is why you are scammed!
I have studied this field a lot, and trust me, I know more than YOU about YOUR Shitlist thread.
Why? Because I love to study human mind, and you have to post because you're scammed.
Love makes you understand everything about the field you love, so I dare to talk the way I talk.
The Solution for the Most Important Problem is This One:
New Badge - Marketplace Buyer
Light Red Color (cost $49,99 /year) [Details are for fun, Staff will know better]
All other Paid members should also be auto-added in this plan. (Jr Vip, Premium)
In Additional, New Badge Highlights:
- Unique User Look (you have to pay to have it)
- Ability to Smooth Report or Receive a Report of a Seller who might be a scammer
- More Respect (better chances for Free Reviews, Free Trials, Freebies)
How This Works?
You have a issue with your seller.
There is a Report button, But No, you won't use that one.
There should be another button for all Paid members. Name it however you wish.
All Paid Members Are in an E-mail Group
Button function: Report the seller, Refund is Issued
Effect of this method: 1 User report 1 Seller = All Paid Users will receive an E-mail + Inbox message.
Additional Info: Buyer who Report must include Transaction ID
Transaction ID helps the Seller to Respond Back and Defend, in case he is Right.
How this helps the Community to stay SAFE?
Multiplying! Sellers who want to scam will work with as many users they can, and they will be taking new orders all the time.
If you smell something fishy, and press a button for a refund, all paid members will receive an E-mail, saying that you @user had reported the @seller.
If there are two, or more, everyone will know it, and they won't get scammed!
Forum has to provide an alert system, and you have to be the human factor = solution.
To defend the Sellers, users who provide false alarms could get banned! (upon mod review)
Do not forget, we talk about PAID Users here, nobody should be that stupid to lose his paid membership for invalid report.
This should have sense. Happy to hear your feedback, bring it on!
