I've recently stumbled upon an interesting thread on hackernews discussing the effects of (micro) monetary rewards for useful, user-generated content. In essence this allows members of any given community to "tip" others if they liked their post/found it useful (kind of like the "thanks"/rep points over here but with actual money). The thread linked to Reddit's current implementation of the idea: http://www.reddit.com/r/bitcointip/comments/13iykn/bitcointip_documentation/

I also remember the following stackoverflow discussion on the same topic: http://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/25615/offering-actual-money-as-a-bounty (OP proposes a bounty for good answers, gets destroyed in the comments...)

Do you think that this might be something (provided the implementation is correct, which is another topic altogether) which could positively affect BHW? Why? Why not?
