BHW needs to stop these punks now

I truly hope that BHW goes to invitation only forum too. But i guess it wont. Too bad i didnt find the forum earlier. :(

Anytime, there will be atleast 3 to 4 moderators being online. Just hit the report button, if you feel posts are inappropriate and we will initiate necessary action, if it seems fit.

Agreed. I report probably 2-3 posts per day which I find not appropriate for the forum, and there are many times they don't get closed or deleted, but you can bet they are seen by the mods if you report it. Don't ABUSE the report button, but if you truly think something is WAY out of line, report it. If people get extra reports about them, mods will probably PM them or issue a short ban to try to get the point across.

Not everyone is going to have the same ideas about what type of response is appropriate. Not everyone has the same sense of humor. Not everyone has the same cultural upbringing.

If you don't agree, make a report, or ask the person straight up "Why did you make that type of reply? I don't agree with you posting that type of response and I think it was very inappropriate." If people agree, they will thank you and the person will see that their behavior isn't wanted in general.

If you truly think you are right, don't be afraid to call someone out. I can assure you if you are being reasonable, you will get tons more positive rep then negative rep. You might make a few enemies, but that happens in business. And BHW is a business. We are all part of this company.

Damn straight OP. I do see dumbass people come in here, randomly make an attempt at a verbal assault towards another member just for stating their OPINION on something and then more members start joining in against the random user. Just a big ugly mess and these kids need to straight fuck off or grow up.

Thanks huh. Why can't I stop watching your squirrel run around in your sig???!!! Nice

Damn, someone had to talk about this before! This is totally true.

For example, few days ago I tried to share some really brilliant method that I've been using, and it was something really special.

I have over 5 years experience online, then some shitty teenager made the first comment "This is wrong.. bla bla shit bla" then few other teenagers followed him by commenting about the same shit.

It was a truly great share, and I'm sure these fuckers knows nothing about what I was talking about. Well anyway, I just closed the thread and put "Nevermind.." instead.

STUPID FUCKERS:
if you feel ungrateful or if you feel that you know more than what the OP knows -- Specially when someone is trying to share something, please go complain about that shit in DP.

Thanks for bringing that up, Ive never once used the report button since it's red and scares me but I think I'll be using it now.

The OP of that post was just banned for saying that the Mod was being irracional, and don't want to be logical.

3 Infractions:
1- Make someone post for him
2- Go agains't a mod decision
3- Spam in the mod message (sent 2 messages in a row)

He deserved to be banned!!! When someone posted a thread asking for designer and coders to make an theme for $$, he did it for free!!!

And he even opened a thread to make free designs!!

He had low posts, because he tried to only post on places that he felt would contribute with something...

He deserve that

What OP?

The owners of this forum ( or the people making the money from it ) should be doing a cost analysis based on paid membership versus invite only versus open forum. yes i know BHW has a VIP ( been told its not that good ) however........ you guys need to look at another model.

aprt from the spam that appears i dont like senior users here posting something special and then its appears on DP and a thousand other forums including other blackhat forums ( i know that sounds hypocritical )

even if its $10 a year to join here then 99% of the existing membership will just sign up. The upside all DP foder ( spelling ) will disappear.

Mods won't get mad if you use it correctly. If anything, you're helping them. ;)

I never thought about it like that. I don't like being a rat, so its messin with my integrity, but I also hate seeing fellow aspiring IM'ers getting punished for their opinions by chumps behind keyboards

At $10 a year 0.1% of the existing members will sign up. Lots of people simply aren't willing or aren't able to pay for a membership to a forum. We will lose a lot of very good quality threads and posts. A lot of new member start threads with very little information, and they can explode into great discussions with thousands of views. If the servers can handle it, then I think the BHW owner would like to see as many threads as possible, except for spam or threads against the rules.

I agree with the OP. I am a very old or some super sharing member here but I recently made a [GET] post and I regretted it with the ton of idiotic pms and replies (not all pms where stupid ofc) asking for more and more and more...

What you are talking about has always happened.
It happens here and it happens in every other forum on the net.
BHW mods are trying to stamp that out, and they need our help.

But we all should know the rules. Go read the TOS if you need to.

Making or having anything to do with making more than one account
on BHW is reason for ban, regardless of how many people you were planning on helping.

I do not believe the mods are going crazy just banning people out of nowhere.
They use their discretion, and sometimes not all of us are going to agree with them.
But that is the nature of the beast.

On another point, making BHW on an invite basis is really not the way to go.

If BHW was on an invite only, 80% of the people posting on this very thread would not have been invited.
I have seen countless invite only groups, which i have been invited, go down to sh!t due to a shortage of their so called "qualified Members"

If you post a thread and 10 teenage punks put it down and tear it all up.... maybe your post was not all that great to start with. That is not BHW's fault.

What I find appalling is all these threads of complaints that I see almost on a daily basis.
When I see the OP, I go and read all their other posts.... and it almost always turns out that they themselves do not contribute anything of value to BHW.

So, I tell everyone on BHW---- before you post a complaint --- ask yourself this one question
"Have I contributed enough to BHW this week for me to have earned the right to post a complaint"
... I bet most of us have not.

and remember this...

"Ask not what BHW can do for you BUT what you can do for BHW."

I always try to report inappropriate posts.

Another stupid thing that made my eyes bleed was a JUNIOR VIP accusing the OP of racism just because he typed "Hello, Black haters ;)" instead of "black hatters", TWICE, Even after the OP explained his english wasn't very well, which was also clear throughout the thread...

I missed that one but it does sound funny

But we all should know the rules. Go read the TOS if you need to.

I agree. I read the Forum Rules every single day. I don't expect most member to do that, but because of the nature of a "black hat" forum, there is a lot of "fine lines" that we have to be careful not to cross. If something isn't VERY clearly against the forum rules, I take a few extra minutes to think "is this post something that is GOOD for the forum or BAD"?

Also people need to realize, BHW makes most of its money from Ads. To sell Ads for a lot of money, they need a lot of traffic. BHW is an authority site and will rank highly for a lot of keywords instantly. The difference between 1 guy posting "help need with adsense" and "need help with adsense" could be 5,000 extra visitors.

Once again, that said, there is a limit on what types of threads we need people starting.
-We don't need spam.
-We don't need duplicate posts by the same members.
-We don't need liars.
-We don't need scammers.
-We don't need racists or any other prejudice.
And several more things which cross that "fine line".

I've seen one mod that should be removed because he runs perfectly good, if not excellent members off, thus losing revenue for the Website. That's not good! Give him a job serving in the cafeteria or something similiar.

i have been lurking a while and now finally i feel that i can contribute a bit, the things mentioned above i totally agree on.

the thing that i missed is this one:

small timers calling out big timers on BS, the way i have been learning most is by finding members that earn my respect and then reading ALL their posts... but like half the time they post something people do not believe them and tell them its BS
i suspect they are young and that is cool, but show some respect to people who have the knowledge

there are no books on most of this, these succesfull guys are all we have, they do not need to post here, they do it for reasons of enjoyment or the feeling to return the favor.. so please be nice, and before calling BS on some guy (which i do not understand why you should IT IS THE INTERNET), check his former posts and check if you think that you should value what he says even though it sounds ridiculous (this happened to me a few times, but i decided to believe them, and trust me they were right :) )

IDk what happened to this forum. IDK if its the DP and Warrior Forum kids coming over here. Ive let this slide for awhile without saying anything, trying to be the bigger person.

It seems everytime someone tries to start a decent thread, the OP is attacked by some internet keyboard warrior for one of a hundred reasons. I used to like reading every thread here, now its being overrun by a bunch of teenagers. If their not teenagers, they damn sure act like one.

Not one of you nit picking pussies would have the gall to say half the things you say in public, because you would have your face smashed in.

Where the moderators at? If I owned a forum like this, and punk ass kids were attacking people that were providing content for my site, bet my BanHammer would have miles on it.

If you feel the need to nit pick someones post, look in the mirror before you do, remember there are guys here that make more than you, and with that you can learn alot, and if not, your wasting your life living in denial.

You're speaking from my soul. Everybody is brave behind a computer. Business is business and and it's being turned into something else.
I think the more you move up in BHW the less you have to concern yourself with the unnecessary. Just coming in you're on the ground floor with everybody but I'm sure it's less of an aggravation in jr. vip and even less in executive vip.

We (the staff) do the best we can. We show up here every
day to help this forum. What we do is strictly on a voluntary
basis. It is our way of giving back. It is not an easy job and
we are often placed in a position of "Damned if you do -
Damned if you don't".

Some people will say that we are too strict and some will say
that we are too lenient. All I can say is that we try very hard
to exercise the best, most rational judgment we can.

We (the staff) care very much about Black Hat World and
everything we do is in the best interest of BHW and its
members.

I have nothing more to say beyond that . . .
