I don't want the job back but thanks for the advice. I just don't want people thinking they can treat me poorly and not pay me. I'll tell ya. I'm not a guy that's use to getting jerked around and nothing has pissed me off this much in a LONG time.
Update: Got an e-mail from Human Resources stating flat out that they weren't going to pay me. Couldn't freaking believe it. Plus, it was written in an arrogant tone! I proceeded to put together one of the BEST emails I've ever written (I'm a good writer) and sent it back. I let them know that in no uncertain terms, I was a problem that wasn't going away. I CC'd the President/CEO and just about everyone else in the company (it's a relatively small organization). I also told them that all further communication would be through my lawyer.
This got their attention. Within 15 minutes the President/CEO emailed me back claiming to not have known anything about the situation and that I might have grounds for a grievance...if I followed company procedure.
This is were things currently stand. Looks like I got their attention
PS: The hell with company procedure. Just cut me a check.
