BHW - Need some advice. Recently fired

I recently got fired from my job a couple weeks before Christmas. I refused to go in and take a drug test on my 2 days off (Thurs. & Fri.) and I got canned. Didn't think they'd fire me for this (I'm clean by the way) and I was shocked.

I received my last check but my unused vacation time wasn't included. They owe me $586 for this. I emailed the women in charge of Human Resources and she emailed back that my money would be sent out on 12/31/08. Long story short I still don't have the money and they won't respond to any of my emails and I can't get anyone on the phone. I live down the street from my old office so if they mailed it I'd have it by now.

Basically I'm wondering what to do next. I was so pissed yesterday that I couldn't even see straight and I feel like walking right in (the office) with a bat and a bad atitude. I know I cant do this but should I just let it go? It's not even the money so much as getting taken advantage of. Do I just focus on IM and forget it or what. Dwelling on it is killing my focus and unproductive but I feel like they deserve some payback. Any advice?

Bro, jobs do suck!! I don't think I can ever hold a real job anymore haha. Keep sticking to it and you'll start earning what you usually earn in a week within a day. There are tons of methods here that will help you with that.

Maybe by being unemployed, it will push you harder to get that success you really need in this business.

Hey bro. You should have just taken the test! Clean or not, you can get synthetic urine and they can't detect anything such as medical conditions, etc if you use it.

That aside, if you live in the US they have a certain time limit to pay you or they can get in big trouble. Call your local labor board. Number should be easy to find. If you have to file a complaint, so be it. It can be a little bit of revenge if you like.

Other than that, shake it off bro. Things happen for a reason. Maybe this is the push you really needed to get fully into IM and make the money you deserve. Maybe it is meant for you to go get a new job and make twice as much and b*ng the bosses daughter. You never know!

Keep your chin up bro, you're a step ahead of the sheep out there because you have something to fall back on.

man its relative... if the money is important... means u are low on it right now.. u "should" threat u will file a case..

that according to me should solve everything!

but if u are not low on cash and have enough to survive without a income for atleast 6-8 months... then let is pass....

n concentrate on IM... i wont say u will make money from day 1... but u will eventually after some tryl n error... but do keep in mind that payments from some companies take ages to come!! so always keep enough in ur pocket to survive in your current life style for atleast 6 months!

What you will want to do is find a contact email on there that has to do w/ the labor board.

Then draft up a email to a few people in the old company and also CC that new email (this way your old company will see the CC)

Let them know in the email that you have been in contact w/ the labor board and that this is your last time trying to contact them before you start to take full action.

They will see the CC in the email and jump right on it.

But you will probably get a reply back from the person who you CC'd saying WTF you talking about... And at that point you tell them you spoke with some lady on the phone at the labor board and told her your situation and she said for you to CC that email account the next time you try and contact your old company.

That will work , and it will work quick..

Or you can setup a network of .com sites as a group of lawyers and law offices in a few states, link them all together + mix in a fake lawyers group that they belong to, and then you have the ability to look like you have different lawyers on your team .

And as far as not wanting to take a drug test, I am sure you can research and find some religion you could belong to and then say its against that religion.

Why not contact the labor board as already suggested and when you get the money buy Xrumer if you don't already have it, then outrank them for their brand terms on a xyzbrandnamesucks.com site! It's a nice easy way of hitting them where it hurts without involving a baseball bat!

Thanks for all the advice. Appreciate it. I admit I got myself into this mess. I probably should have just pissed for them but... And it's not so much the money as nothing gets me more fired up then someone thinking they can screw me over. If I go balls to the wall with IM I should be able to get by. I am going to contact the labor board though. After that I gotta just get to work on my new career and get rid of the anger. It's definitely not improving my focus.

Yes, I really live in Syracuse NY. Who would lie about that (No jokes please). Right next to Syracuse University.

You mentioned you called them etc.,
If its so close - why not just go in? Talk to HR head in person? They can cut you a check right there and then.

I am not totally sure how it works in the US but here is a quote I found from a quick search

"an employee who is fired for refusing to participate in a private company's random drug testing program may have a legal claim for wrongful discharge in violation of public policy if the employee was fired for refusing to submit to random drug testing and the employee's privacy interest outweighs the public interest in favor of the testing."

I would speak to a lawyer. I smell a wrongful dismissal claim

In the mean time, don't forget to file for unemployment. At least you'll have some income coming in for a while.

secondly starting earning online right now.because even if you do something this month you will get payment mostly by feb 15.so dont let this month go waste since you are out of income.
Also try every method you see.dont think about it.

when you were small and didn't really understand things, your parents told you what to do and u simply followed.
its same here, the guys giving you the methods are your well wishers and just do what they tell.

also pick a plan like first submit around 10 articles to AC, then out of that money buy proxies for CL etc or something like(this is just an example). Have a clear cut path.

Also i may confused that should i be sorry for you or happy because i didnt make much money till everything became a burden on my head like bills etc.

i would be pissed if i were you. not even getting my paycheck.

if i were you, i would walk in, and talk to the person head to head.

I would contact a dickhead lawyer, you probably can get a settlement without going to court, It will cost the company a bunch of money to fight it.

I did not think they can make you go on your own time, but hell im not a lawyer. and it will depend on your company legal forms you signed.

I'm gonna fight it to a point. At least I'll be a major pain in their ass.

I'm making a decent amount with AC and I got a few other things I do so I'm not out of cash or income. Like a lot of you have said I'm just going to really dig in with IM and make more money. I agree. Getting fired will probably end up being a good thing.

That's exactly how it worked out for me. I moved across the state for a job doing SMO and Testing. Long story short, my boss came in and started blaming the bad things (like no one wanting to buy a scammy product) going on in the office on "Evil Spirits."

I've been making due on some of the bh methods, but have been working on getting more grey for the long-term.

I'm not sure what they call it where you live, but it's referred to as "hour and wadge commission" here. Tell them your story and file a complaint. That probably won't get your job back, but it MAY get you your vacation time(or if the company wrongfully fired you, compensation).

If it's a large company and you haven't pissed them off too bad escalate to the corporate office(corp director or VP of hr) and come up with extenuating circumstances(it needs to be illness/death in family/etc) as to why you couldn't complete your drug test and offer to do random testing(even offer to pay for additional testing, if possible).
Offer to be a rehire or even in a different position(if possible). DON'T DO ANY OF THIS BY EMAIL. Call and speak to real voices as management will be more of a asshole by email and keep at it no matter how many times you have to call(but give them a chance to return calls). You can also bh some of the above and probably come up with some ideas. Hope this helps.
