Oh wow...Thanks but no thanks I prefer BHW than some group. Hey I am a newbie and new to
IM. But that does not hurt my ability to read all the threads here on BHW and try my best to become
a good member of the community. So if your to lazy to research this awesome forum (BHW) then please

I think the point of the group is to weed out leechers, or people who aren't going to contribute. It's a solid idea. He's not talking about being spoon fed, he's just talking about having others to collaborate with without having to open a thread and wait for responses.

You seem like you are so innocent in wanting to help people and that is nice. But one thing you must understand is by cutting corners and helping people in some type of chat group you kill thread/post discussion. Okay so then guess what? That " Valuable " Information that you discussed in your group will not be recorded for someone else to read on BHW. You are not only hurting content creation at BHW. But you are also hurting newbies like myself looking for content. Your groups content could be on this forum and recorded for years of reading. Where as your group is only shared by a few. So now many people who would have seen it can not because the information is not Available to them. Why you ask? Because people know about BHW way more than your group. So 95% of the newbies will not see your helpful information and group. Where as if you used a BHW forum then the information would be here for everyone...
Essentially you are making information harder to obtain and providing information for a small percent
while the masses have less. This is what groups do...

I don't really think it's hurting "content creation" at BHW, because the skype group is most likely going to look like this:
Person 1: Hey has anyone had any success with this...(method here)?
Person 2: Nah, haven't tried it
Person 3: Yea, but you should try tweaking it a lil bit
Person 1: Great thanks
or
Person 1: I'm starting something us (explains here)
Person 2: Sounds good, but what about (problem here)
These are the types of conversations that people do not turn into threads because the scope isn't broad enough so they usually just keep the information to themselves anyways.

Damn me for having lurked so long
Would love to be part of the Skype group as that's actually where I bounce most of my ideas around already with peeps. How about adding me at Im.gal and giving me a chance. If you like I'm turning leechy you have my full permission to block me and never speak to me again. Hopefully though my SEO and marketing bg will make me a help not a hindrance. Famous last words!
