Don't ever promise a discount or you are just asking for trouble. If they aren't satisfied with your pricing, then ask them kindly to go elsewhere!

Securing a sale can be a tempting motive to try and help people, but looking at the conversation this guy was looking for a discount and that sort of business is not what you need!
