BHW London Meetup - June

Hey guys,

Last 2 meetups were fun and I haven't organised one since Christmas.

I'm not around for the next 2 weeks, but thinking of doing a June meetup. Weekdays, whilst not popular with everyone are better than weekends. I'm thinking a Thursday.

How about 14th or 21st June? Thoughts? For those of you who have come before, we'll find a new venue this time as I'm getting bored of the other place.

As usual, everyone is welcome. We tend to have a few drinks/snacks and then a few of us have gone to a club/bar afterwards to continue the party. Always fun and you get to network with likeminded marketers.

If you're lucky, I might even buy you a Jagerbomb if you're a newcomer.

Let me know which date you would all prefer (or suggest an alternative) and I'll get it organised.

Maybe i'm missing something but the 17th and 24th are sundays....????

You are correct, I was looking at the wrong month in my calendar, lol. Have edited now :)
 
hahahaha thought as much, i'll see if i can sneak it past the misses well that is if it's within a reasonable travelling distance, anywhere north of the Watford Gap is a non starter for me.....!!!

It will definitely be somewhere in London. We've always met central so far as that seems to be convenient for everyone and easy if people are travelling into London for it.

Well then you can almost nearly no quite but almost 100% count me in....... LOL
Seeing as you mentioned Jagerbomb's may even book the next day off!
 
sounds interesting! a weekday would defo be better for me. whats the turn out been like for uk meetups in the past?
 
I'd love to go, but I'm getting married in June. Went to the Christmas party though - was great! :)
 
I am busy in June, so I won't be able to attend this one, but the last one sure was fun :)
I vote the meetup after this one to be in July or August...
 
14th June would be great for me, if you guys are ok with that date also.

I missed the last one because I had to visit a buddy in Manchester, and to my surprise Manchester and London are not that close as I hoped haha

Well I will be in the netherlands at that time, but would love to hop over. Never met someone who did seo, or real marketing in real life, so that would be interesting. Any idea how much a day would cost me in london with you guys? I have to calculate it a little in my expenses since I dont make a lott of money ;). I dont care about the dates as long as I can get a cheap ticket ;).

- What time will it start? (one flight arives at 17.00 maybe a good time?)
- Is it easy to find if ur not from london?
- What would it cost me over there? Since airport transfer, flight and acco will cost me $150+ :rolleyes:

If you are from Netherlands the flight expenses would be from $100 to $200, depending on the date. Check http://www.easyjet.com for bookings.
The hotel would be around the same price for two nights. So overall you would have to have at least $300 for the whole trip.

Thanks for the comment! Seems about right did a small check myself just now.

I will be flying with ryanair since its closer to me and its cheaper, and I have to book in a hostel since hotel room prices are pathetic high, never seen something like that before and I have visited a lott of places. Haha maybe thats why I never went to london.

How much you pay for a beer in london then? $10 a beer would be about right if you compare to hotel prices.

Well Anyways I am interested! How old are the rest of the guys that come over? I am 23
 
Which airport? A beer will cost you about $6-7 in most pubs. I'm 22, but there was quite a mix of ages at the last meetups.
 
I'm 24 and I think that's about average age. There was a few younger guys last time and then the old men like Oxonbeef (!) who couldn't handle the Jagerbombs!
 
I'd love to come but I'm from Middlesbrough so it's a bit far away for me, Damn!!!
