Black hat world peaked in 2017 according to ahrefs.com, and organic traffic has been in the decline since without a recovery in sight. But honestly, a lot of people made a ton of money in the beginning. It was so much easier. But today it's still easy, but just with more outside the box thinking required. But once figured out, still easy to make money online. Especially with SEO.
