Hi guys. I have a legitimate business and I want to protect it's image, especially as far as search engines are concerned. I plan on having it long-term... is BHWHosting okay to use? The 25 IPs price is great compared to SEOHosting.com, who I am currently signed up with. I haven't launched the site yet (was going to today) and I was thinking of dumping SEOHosting and going with BHWHosting instead, as I have dozens of sites and I would love to interlink them with them all having unique IPs.

Does Google care? Will anyone be able to see who hosts my site(s)? Your thoughts?

Thanks!

I'm not a good expert, but I can't see google fining you based on who the owner the IP blocks are. Especially since IPs are recycled between providers and it would be pretty crazy for good to fine an entire IP range based on the activity of a few etc.

I understand how some name based / share hosting that share the same IPs might affect the SEO etc. But I would have to say that it's highly unlikely that you will be affected by who your upstream provider is :)

With that said, if your IPS that you are assigned are on blacklists and RBLs everywhere because of abuse from a previous owner then you might have unrelated troubles.

I hope this helps

You can see who hosts someone's sites from a) the nameservers b) the IPs - you can look up the ARIN allocations and see what host they have been assigned to.

If you want to interlink, using multiple hosts is almost always a better idea than putting all your eggs in one basket.

Just get a normal host with a long history.. something like leaseweb or isprime

Hosting with multiple c-classes is very ineffective if you don't know how to do it right! It is also against Google's TOS, so, I guess it's kinda blackhat!

If you want your brand to survive, go white hat and build legit links.....
