BHW FB Group and FB Marketplace

Hey guys,

Just noticed that BHW have FB page that is not updated like 2 years and have over 100k members.

I think this is a huge waste of revenue source for the BHW and successful sales for the marketplace sellers.

Can work like this:
- Every new marketplace shop get a single shout out for additional price in the BHW main FB group.
- Creating a marketplace group where sellers can put their offers for $ x dollars per post.Sure it will get some time to pick up new members, but hey Rome is not build for a day.

I understand that you prefer to keep the members only in BHW, but sadly plenty of people are moving to FB marketplace groups anyway, so IMHO its pointless to fight it, while can profit from this.

And yeah, it wont make millions, but I think its worth the overhead of mod managing 2 FB groups..

There is something like shoutout for services here itself. Why reply on third party and give them the control ?

Nice idea - currently they get included in the Diamond Damien profile here https://www.facebook.com/diamond.damien when purchasing an email blast but sure - no reason not to add all select new marketplace threads to the BHW page.

Got to disagree with the "everyones moving to facebook" comment - but then I would. We have more engagement on the forum now than we've have had in a long time, not related to their latest troubles (timeline wise) specifically. However, we can categorically state - as we manage all advertising in house - We've never sold your data and never will.

It's no secret I'm no fan of Facebook and their policies on what they do with their users data so would rather keep it all on BHW, but, at the end of the day if you don't cast your net you're not going to catch any fish.

Thats nice. I did not have observation of BHW forum specifically since I am relatively new member, but its general trend in most of the forums I use (or used to use). Personally I think that forums are way better than FB for exchanging, looking for and storing information, but the convenience of Facebook pull too many users.

Also there are literally dozens of SEO / IM related groups with tens of thousands of users -> active FB page may pull some new users for the forum as well.

Totally agree - FB is for the light fluff, "it's all about content..." "seo is dead..... again" - if you want to get into it with IM pro's this is the place to be.
