This forum is full of computer geniuses, entrepreneurs and investors. Why doesn't BHW Coin exist yet? Surely there would be hundreds of interested people inside the forum and in the long run it would attract new members.

I was thinking the same. If the BHW team is up for it, I can create the coin + all other stuff such as exchange listing etc. For free of course :)
Edit: in fact, it would be so cool if all members have a crypto wallet integrated on their accounts so they don't have to purchases marketplace services through paypal, bank card etc
 
Yeah there are a lot of uses for such coin. We have a great ecosystem here in the forum.

I would love to take the free airdrop coins :p /js
 
You guys don't remember the last time someone created a bhw coin, it changed your post count into coins, and everyone went ballistic, and it got banned.
 
Interesting thought. I imagine it will cause more problems than it would solve.
 
I built an ERC-20 token and was going to incorporate it into the forum I was launching.. but I think that was the last nail in the coffin tbh.. it was just such a huge undertaking.

Tokenomics has to be on point or you'll just be creating a shitcoin that actually damages the brand of BHW instead of generating value.

However if it is done right, there are umpteen benefits of doing it, for both members and for BHW mgmt. The ability for the token to be used for growth and engagement is huge... then again, BHW hardly has any need to worry about improving growth or engagement ;)

Yup, but it sounds like the usecase was terrible. It can be used for Reputation score. 1 reputation score = 1 BHW coin :D .. Users can get 20% discount on JR.VIP membership if the payment is made in BHW coin :D.. Users can also tip other for quality posting and whatnot. :P
 
Great idea and it will be the main coin for market place V3
Where the forum will take the payment for us.
And make it the only way to pay for your JR VIP.

Edit: since each big company or something will have a special crypto i think reserving crypto name is the next big thing.
i can't get now 3 character domain since all are taken.
but some company don't have their coin so create a coin like "BHW" and sell the name to them later or get the credibility of it from them.
 
Actually, if it is enforced, it may actually work, if you have to pay your JrVIP subscription or buy marketplace threads with it and/or enforce all marketplace purchases with it. The ecosystem is already there, it's just harnessing it with a coin. Just like this new digital yuan... because it's tied to the real yuan, gives it instant traction wether we like it or not. So also, if you tie the bhwcoin to the BHW economy, it gets instant traction.

Then escrow in the marketplace become easy to do plus many other benefits.

Just imagine a subreddit picks it up to pump it up like DOGECOIN..

Then we all become millionaires just for being part of the BHW economy.
Maybe @Diamond Damien should consider the pros and cons of this idea. It might be good. Just thinking out loud.

I know nothing about crypto but I kinda love the idea for some strange reason :)

It's something we're toying with as part of a potential man in the middle/escrow service but won't be considered before we launch the new marketplace.

Ahhh this is how rumours start - we've never had an official BHW coin on the forum.
