Recently I have noticed BHW site tries to load Adobe Flash Plugin in Firefox, Is there any forum update that requires this plugin for new features or something?

P.S I just hate enabling this shitty Flash plugin which is too resource hungry except when visiting video sites.

Weird, it doesn't happen in private browsing mode and it's absolutely ad free in there.

you got a virus maybe.

My flash plugin setting for any site is "Ask to Activate", whenever a site loads flash script, it prompts me to allow or disallow. But only for the last few days, I see this when I visit BHW, so it's not a virus or something. I was just curious to know if there was any update in the forum as to why it requires Flash all of sudden.

Nothing like that on Chrome and Firefox here. Might be a flash based ad.

Try checking for adware in your system using any free tool like ADWcleaner...

it must have been a flash based ad and when you switched to private browsing, that ad didn't show up, because bhw shows you different ads when reloading a page

My browsers are all good, you probably have some virus or male ware on your computer. Maybe you should run a
scan on your computer. You can use this free one that works really well: eset free online scanner. You can also use
Malwarebytes | Free Anti-Malware if you run scans with thous tools and still have problems then you can run scans
with the tools in the list below as well. I also recommend using cookie blocking plug ins and also never accept third
party cookies in your browsers.

Code:
https://www.malwarebytes.org/junkwareremovaltool/
https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/
https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

Browser plug ins
Code:
https://adblockplus.org/en/
https://www.ghostery.com/

If you want to take security to the next level to reduce the damages from viruses, if and when you get them, then you
can look into the disk encryption and document encryption software in the list below as well.

Code:
https://www.aescrypt.com/download/
https://veracrypt.codeplex.com/

Yet still if you wanted to bring server security to your home desktop you can follow this guide.

I found out that it's the G ads that's loading this. But what's strange is I've been using the same settings (i.e it prompts me to allow or disallow flash for any site), for years. And I see this behavior only in the past couple of weeks or so. Am I in their hitlist or something :D

People who had this plugin enabled by default won't be able to see the difference as to it happened earlier or not.
