I guess like any newbie here, I spend a lot of time exploring BHW. And I found this interesting stat.

There are 4 times the number of guests than registered members. And I feel that weird for some reason if that's real.

Do you think many of the these 'guests' are actually BHW members but are logged out to keep their viewing activities hidden?

I don't think so. People regularly contact me who read the marketplace threads as guests.

I'm more curious/concerned as to why there has been a noticeable drop in the numbers since last month. I am used to seeing 3-4,000+ people listed, but the past couple months, it has been more like 2-3,000+.

I used to stalk BHW for a couple of years before deciding to join So yeah, the stats might be readl, beside the crawlers/bots, probably about 50% are stalkers:

Why would these people stalk instead of becoming a member? Way better to interact right?

Like @idealu I also lurked BHW for 3 or 4 years before I felt like I had somehthing worth saying, and not until then I registered

Half of the 'guests' are bots. Most of them are here for @proxygo's proxy shares and the other half are bots that are trying to create accounts for either spamming or adding a home page backlink for indexing purposes.

Does anyone know why the "guest" traffic in particular has been so much lower since May?

Nah. I know BHW for years and years. Me and my friends started business like 2 years ago.
All this time I came across this community as a reader and could spend hours reading/searching something.
I registered this year only, however previous 2 years I visited this forum almost on a daily basis.

I guess it’s because of all the organic traffic - there will be visitors all day every day coming from search engines. Even though a percentage will sign up, it stands to reason there will be lots of non-members online.
