hi i am working on a site and have been using some duplicate content i am fairley new to seo any suggestions on getting around my duplicate content and using it for google with out getting banned from the search engines

wow thats preety hard i am not really trying to take that much time into rewritting the page any good software to do this i know all the ones i used on that i found on the big g suck

you aren't getting banned because of dupe content :) ... I wasn't banned , even I got PR for the site :)
 
really but can that effect the way i rank on the big g or no
 
look. duplicate content doesn't matter. When an alive person from google verifies you site, when they see a spam blog, they rate you as shit, if they see a news aggregator (also supe content) or something that looks legit, they rate ok.
 
Word for word dupe content will end up in google's supplemental index - the thing at the bottom of results page which says "we have omitted these results as they are very similar to...".

Badly spun content (50% original) was not enough to stop my news blog from getting a massive penalty. I know it's for dupe content.

How? When I search for my news blog's keywords using "&filter=0", the site ranks high again.
 
If you have 100% dupe content but you create a massive amount of good backinks overtime, doesn't your site rank well anyway? I guess...

I guess you have to choose if spend time writing\spinning articles or creating backlinks.

What you guys think?
 
its up to you if you wanna risk any google penalties and no software would help you spin the content 100% well enough and readable too, better you do it atleast a little by yourself manually or hire someone else.
 
dude i just tried it it cant make my dup content lower then 38% even then it doesent make sense maybe im not using it rite ? how low does the % have to be so google doesnet penalize you
 
actually just gave it another shot it is pretty good the only thing that should be added to it is you can pick wich word any word you want to synonymise
 
Look around on DP, plenty of people offering spun content with under 30% duplication for pennies.

What I worry most is the copyright problem ,the original author would complain to google and ban your site or your adsense account ?
 
I'de spend some time with Power Article Rewriter and be done with the concerns OP
 
I think the duplicate content penalty is a myth.

I've had a duplicate site rank higher than the original site when I tested this myth 6 months ago.
