BH IM vs law

I just saw a story on someone showing a lawsuit against a member that was here that went for like $1M (2010 case but still) and I was thinking bruh! is BH IM that serious???

I'm just a small timer (BH) IMer not really trying to cause too much a scene so I would rather not run into wild cases like this. I've seen many times as to how users say breaking a site TOS is not illegal but I still want to understand how these cases come to be. I think Deleted member 752298 was another recent case but I never looked too much into that since I was never focused on that side of marketing.

What do you think? Is worrying about law just stressing over nothing?

However unlike others, i've never cease and desist, and actually won my cases.

It does take some guts, went all the way with trustpilot in court. beat amazon in court regarding a failed refund they denied and google aswell

google had to take down some stuff through courts
