Our freedom is being taken away. Law enforcement agencies want easy access to encrypted communications over the internet to spy on criminals. However, I think it will be abused by some and exploited by hackers.
After reading some of the responses, most of the people don't think this is a good idea, including me.
Please note that this is not a political thread so don't take it that way.
WASHINGTON ? Federal law enforcement and national security officials are preparing to seek sweeping new regulations for the Internet, arguing that their ability to wiretap criminal and terrorism suspects is ?going dark? as people increasingly communicate online instead of by telephone.
