Yes..that is exactly what my site is used for...to validate the proxy settings to make sure it's safe..before visiting the live sites such as CL, etc.

I spoke with my colleagues about this issue recently. You are right..it's difficult to tell if these proxies are already used by these sites due to the lack of access to their blacklisted IP databases (CL, Gspot, etc.).
Things would be hell much better if we are currently using IPv6 - impossible for them to track down.

- Icon flags are added.

I might be wrong, but I would expect if your behind a router that would just give your internal MAC details? e.g. 192....

Yes - from your PC. Check this tool, open Java tab - you'll see the MAC address read off from your PC.
I have some ideas (which I discussed with my colleagues), which would be very helpful by developing the spoof IP address utility for PC/Mac that will respond back with spoofed IP address/MAC address/etc on request via Java/Flash.
Right now, I need to get this tool completed with all features added first - then enhance it from there.
You know, it's an ongoing development project. Your feedback are more than welcome..and feel free to thank me anytime.

that's not completly true. i had one private tunnel detected by one of those sites. and it was not even a VPN but one ssh tunnel i made with one of my dedicated servers, and maybe the MAC address it detected was from the computer but i can assure you that it detected my Router IP and not my local one.

One of the best sites for detecting a proxy is Gaypal, I accidentally logged into my account while running a VPS and my account was suspended. This got me looking at why so I set up 3 more accounts and tried them with three more proxies. It was detected as a proxy each time, so whatever they are using it works.
I am also paranoid and make sure all my cookies including flash are deleted every session, I also run no script in FF, so I believe some companies like Gaypal have very powerful detection software.

That is exactly what I need to know about the proxy detection scripts by these companies as stated in my original topic here.
Magpie2419 - your vps uses proxy running on it? That is what I need to know. If that is the case, it's easy to figure out if it's from the server instead of ISP.
SpiderWebmaster - please elaborate bit more on the private ssh tunnel.

And about whoer.net/ext - I disabled Flash and put proxy on JAVA but they managed to find my DNS (ISP address?) and my real IP using UDP protocol?

Except for ActionScript/Java (that needs bit more work), everything is working great. The map will be added there by tomorrow.
After tomorrow or Saturday, I will be focusing on getting my large site to be integrated into Facebook first (to make money...as the #1 primary thing).
