Beware of Paypal

so i recently purchase some software from this website. The software basically was a sham and was filed completely full of bugs and didn't work. So i basically went to paypal and filed a dispute. I emailed the owner no response, Waited couple days and still no response, So i escalated the claim. Apparently now paypal is basically telling me they only vote in favor of merchandise being shipped not on its quality. So its pretty much the most retarded thing ever. If you paid for a 18k rolex and the seller ships it and it arrives and you open the box and its a mickey mouse watch your screwed. Basically paypal is now saying they don't care about the quality of the merchandise being sent. My advice Boycott Paypal folks. Dont waste your time

wow , you really got screwed :p ,sorry to hear that ...but if we boycott gaypal , then what should we use for online transaction?
in my opinion Gaypal still the safest ways to paid or buying online , and I never had problems with they :)
 
dude thats an old news..they never honor any software related transactions...seller is always a winner in this case...it happened to me a couple of times..now i do not prefer paypal if I am buying a software from a new buyer who has no itrader or any reputation....
 
My gf has the complete opposite scenario where some ass clown buyers would open dispute even though they got the products, sellers are the losers on ebay/paypal most of the time unless you got tracking numbers that prove you sent. Even then they could say the product is a mess and find lame ass excuses to get the products for free.
 
Do you mean beware of Paypal or beware of people who try to scam you? Why aren't you as angry with the seller as you are with Paypal? Is Paypal an easier target because they did nothing wrong?
 
You rarely get refunded for digital goods. Always Buyer Beware.

Almost BHW users use PP as payment method. If so what is your suggestions -lol-

If we talk about delivery there are only two conditions delivered or not. But if we talk about quality each one will give different score for single item.
 
So far i have been luck with Paypal......but you never know....one needs to be extra careful while transacting online....once you lose money its hard to get it back.....better to be cautious from the beginning

well Paypal can't do much over digital purchases. I encountered shit b4 and I called them and they said nothing they can do about it.

But they claimed to put a note on that account and if they received 3 or more disputes, they will limit/suspend that account.
 
Hey what they say is right. You need to check out the policies before applying. If you didn't get the goods then they will give the money in favor of you. But you might have said that you received it and not satisfied with the quality.
 
Yes boycott pp lets use stormpay or intgold!!

paypal is just a payment processor. that's your problem if you buying shit.
 
LOL, despite its shortcomings, PP still has its advantages.

if u wanna do eB BH, PP is still the way to get paid.

and linking PP correctly, u can be wiring money across the globe to get money out by various means :)
 
Paypal cannot control the quality
It can ensure only delivery.
I have been using paypal with no issues so far.
They are really reasonable
 
Another thing about PayPal Inc that most of you don't know is that they are fully compliant when giving out your personal information. Whether or not they give your street address and name to other third parties, they are more than happy to oblige to giving out transaction IDs, Social Security number, all addresses you have ever listed, and all names you have ever used when called upon to do so.

Even if the reason is completely, blatently ridiculous, when compelled to do so, they will WITHOUT notifying you. Under federal regulations (banking) they must notify you. Although in the US whether or not Paypal is a bank is grey area, in countries like Australia and the UK, Paypal is deemed a bank.

Paypal is fine for small money services, but I wouldn't trust them with large cash or information you can't afford to lose
 
u can use moneybookers instead of paypal unfortunately most buyers and sellers dont use it.
 
yes there are many options like MB, AP, LR and all but none as popular as PP.
