I have always had a good experience on this forum until now. I needed a malware expert to clean my website. I hired Mr.VCC from this forum. I paid 50% up front and he promised to have it done in 48 hours. He charged over $1,000 to my hosting account's credit card, and changed all of my passwords on me and contact name to his. BEWARE!!!

not sure why you paid that much, when I, or any other senior member could have done it for free.

I hope everything comes out good for you. Post any proofs if possible.
 
any proof or conversations? This should have been posted in The Shit List.
 
As all above have said, you should have posted this in the shit list with proof. Accusations alone will not do. So what you need to do is post the proof here, then ask a mod to move the thread to the shit list.
 
I apologize for posting in the wrong section. The hosting account is under my mom's email and credit card, so she has all of the emails with charges. What do you want for proof? I am not one to talk bad about anyone, I just wanted to let everyone know. I didn't pay him $1,000 that's what he charged to the credit card on file. He wanted $100 to clean my site. I still need it cleaned if anyone is interested. I have Skype conversations, but how do you want me to prove the charges he did?
 
seriously, you just got ripped off (well your mom did) so before you go any further in hiring another freelancer, you need to take some precautions to protect yourself like disconnecting the card from the account. Most of us are trustworthy, but given your previous experience I would either take much higher precautions in hiring someone from BHW or hire a profession company with a good reputation.
 
I filed a PayPal dispute and the REAL owner of the account said he had no idea why I sent him money. So obviously Mr.VCC hacked into this guy's PayPal somehow. And he's given me several different names after I started asking why the work wasn't done.
 
why on earth did you not check if he was reputable before dealing?
If you sent money to a hacked paypal account then that is paypals problem they have to refund you.

Make a note!
Do not do business with people called "MrVCC Seller" "facebooklikesseller" or shit like that.
They know you are mugs because you fell for a name.

Do you know why Africans send emails saying they are princes with 1000 million dollars?
I'll pay $50 to the first person to post the answer.

PayPal is giving me my money back. I've always had such great luck with the freelancers I've hired here...I guess that's why I wasn't too cautious. :(
If anyone else can REALLY fix my websites, please let me know. And sorry MODs for posting in the wrong section. :(
 
Install WP antivirus find the rouge code and remove it.
 
I installed WP antivirus AND BulletProof. They still got infected again! Also, some sites are simple 5 page HTML sites. I clean the files, change passwords and it just happens again hours later. WHMCS suggested deleting and reinstalling, but I need someone to do that for me.

I can do it but I can't be arsed, I can get someone to do it but you would have to wait for them to wake up and pay them.

It's extremely minor, but it might be an indicator of character. "MrVCC" PM'd me today in response to an ad I ran looking for a wikipedia editor for hire, and said "he could edit any wiki" (using bad grammar and punctuation), as if having the ability to edit a wiki was somehow special. I got the "AVOID" vibe off him immediately. I recommend the OP develop this spidey-sense. Changing her forum name wouldn't be a bad idea either.
 
He tried to scam me too today. He answered a post about some YouTube views. He wanted 50% upfront. I ran a test on him and saw hi is an impulsive lier. Stay away from this prickhead. Bann his ass.

:D They know the historical fact that there definitely are dumb 'you-know-whos' (ok wth! -- dumb chicks) who would jump at that dream combo! hehe
