beware gsrcaper

my first shit list on bhw in 8yrs and i do this on behalf of myself any many people using gscraper.
like many others i have owned gscraper 5yrs an d up until 3 months ago things where ok
support replied from time to time but over last 6 weeks support does not reply at all.

few weeks back i contacted wiz about gscraper sales thread opened by hawk aug 2013
and last posted on it sept 2013 after pointing this out to wiz, he closed down the sales
thread, due to almost no support on bhw

for several weeks so gscraper has been in a semi broken state for url scraping, i tried speak to hawke on bhw but he
rarely logs in once every few months, he had no need to as he uses/used his sales thread mearly to bounce traffic
to his buy page for gscraper .

ive also been made aware if u email support gscraper as a new buyer they reply within a few days

this not a refund shit list thread its a thread to ask mods to ask hawke to deliver what he promised a working
tool [gscraper ] its no good blocking and ignoring support requests on skype and mail but replying to new
customers - today is first time i put my neck on the block for all gscraper users....

also request his closed down sales thread be removed, if we cant get support on bhw and wiz saw fit to close
it for that reason, he shouldnt be allowed to have people bounce off that closed thread to his payed site.
also this thread has been running in the lounge 2 months about total lack of support from sgcraper

he replied twice end june beginning july. now skype/email gets nothing and its happening to many bhw users.

*Hawke* has been notified he has 48 hours to respond.

To make this clear, I am not evaluating this for the result of a possible ban of *Hawke*. The BST has been going for just short of 2 years... so failing to support that product at this stage is not a bannable offense to me - it is however a reason to SL for permanent closure of his BST.

For this SL to be resolved, I will require 2 things from *Hawke*:
1) The software to be working as advertised in the BST
2) A promise to his buyers that he will be more responsive and fix issues in a timely fashion or at least keep them informed as to what's going on and when the issues would be fixed. (note, I am referring to future issues - again, this SL will only be resolved when the software is currently working as previously advertised.

alot of buyers. also if you goto gscraper website scroll down to bottom and click on support

yeah hawk is shitting the bed and he couldn't give a single fuck about any of his paying customers.
Couple weeks ago i was scraping 100k/min, every 15 mins I had to stop because it was getting loaded
Now- im lucky to get 1k/min more like 200.

you get the idea even other forums are getting same treatment , u buy, then ignored.
but if u email them as a new buyer they respond within 2/3 days, email them about
the broken tool u get silence.

also salt if u check through hawkes posts there all about promoting gscraper
or a discount, almost none of his posts offer any help.

infact with the exception of maybe 10 posts between this year and last year
all the rest of his posts are from 2013

all i seek is he fix the tool for his customers , and his locked sales thread be striken from bst section
so other people dont bounce of his closed sales thread to his site to buy a broken product

ps - the only 2 posts hawke has made this year, ill repeat this year thats 8 months
where on the 3 page thread sitting in the lounge of users disusing broken gscraper
final note, current state of the product - 800 working proxies validated by gscraper

and when you attempt to scrape urls with the product 7 urls a min when its usually
20-40-60-80-100k urls a min scraping.....



when there support was told about this last month , 1 reply, download the latest version
its fixed, but it isnt, its the latest version thats completely broken now all we have is
a wall of silence for all gscraper users

Sad to see him not answering support e-mails, I had just recently purchased proxygo's amazing service and I didn't have enough time to enjoy it and make perfect use of it...

+1 confirmation that this dude is purposely ignoring us and hiding.

I think we should at least make sure Hawke doesn't lure more suckers into this, his tool is obviously dead as it is. I'm pretty sure he still takes 60$/month for a proxy service on a non-functional tool. This can't possibly be acceptable...

I wish he was just as careless about obfuscating his .NET code, it would be a struggle to make use of it now that he has secured it properly. Oh well, a perfectly good scraper bites the dust...

just to repeat the sales thread did not run for 2years, he opened it aug-2013 and hadnt
posted on it since sept 2013 - by definition that isnt a running sales thread thats an
abandoned sales thread which is why wiz locked it.

at very least if he doesnt respond his CLOSED sales thread should be striken from
bst section so people dont bounce of his add to his site and end up where the rest
of us are and maybe his sig add for gscraper removed as well.

as agreed with salt, i have sent the link to thread to gscraper support and
to hawkes skype i will wait 7 days, thats 13 days total including the first 48hrs
to respond. if he chooses not to reply i request his closed sales thread be removed
from bst section so people dont bounce to his site from the adds on that closed
bst, and his sig link be removed for same reason. has been 4 weeks since support
last replied by email and since june he last replied on skype.

his only posts on bhw this year where 2 posts on a lounge thread about gscraper
issues, 1 in june 1 in early july. b4 that he hadnt posted here on bhw since
since first 4 months of 2014 and b4 that august 2013..that in itself added
to skype comment says all u need to no.

I have yet to receive an email from support, sent many emails in but no reply. I did have him once on Skype, but then he blocked me when I kept asking him how the progress was with getting GScraper working again.

Not to sure at all what the problem is with hawkes, at least tell us you know something is wrong and you're trying to fix it.

Bummer to hear but good job with getting the word out! Very informative post.

and there in lies the issues, all products go through ups and downs thats life
but if your customers contact you for an update . stone walling them doesnt help
shows lack of interest in the buyer now they have your $
and as ive said 3 times already with all hawkes posts bunched so tightly in small doses
aug 2013 - jan/march 2014 - june/july 2015 for bhw shows little interest in bhw buyers
other than your money

I also now have a dead scraper. Hawke stopped sending me the default reply to my support enquiry ('upgrade to latest version' - which I was, and which was also broken) and is now ignoring my requests completely.

Oddly enough when I send a sales enquiry from a burner email, response was prompt...

I do hope hawke's just busy throwing all his resources at a permanent fix, but I have to say from this, he seems a bit scummy... which sucks because gscraper really was good when it worked.

I hope all references to a working gscraper are scrubbed from bhw so others dont part with their hard earned bh bucks.

Gsccraper used to by very fast scraper, i was getting even 120k urls/minute. Now i moved to scrapebox 2.0 it is even faster sometimes

same here 2013 i averaged 200k urls a min - 2014-june 2015 around 100k urls a min
even that was reasonable . now at 10 urls a min.

2 days left to run on this thread. salt opened it 21st aug 48hrs deadline.
on 26th i said to salt lets give the guy week 1 week in the mean time ill email
there support and skype the link to this thread, they no it exists, no
excuses if they dont reply.....48hrs to go

to salt, this thread was opened on 21st, hawke was given 48hrs to respond
i didnt notice thread was live until 24th aug. on 26th aug i approached salt
rather than allow hawke 48hrs ide give him a week. thats 12 days to reply
i emailed there support that the thread was live , no response.



i also left a message for hawke on skype sadly his only ever responses where 28th june
and 3rd of july nothing b4 or after.

cant really closed sales thread twice lols, instead i ask the following for all bhw users.


1- his already locked sales thread be removed, this will stop unsuspecting bhw users bouncing

I was quite content with Gscraper since 2 weeks ago. the PR check is now just a crap. For example yesterday I stopped a hugh scrape work of 400,000 URLs. After filtering pr < 1 I got 8,000 left. Then I filter the SAME LINKS again and I got 1,000 left - until you end up with nothing. Wasted time and money!!!
When you go to support expect the same: nothing! - they stopped their forum and a week ago I worte them an email without having an answer yet, not even saying "please wait"....
all that stopped my two week work on a project.... - I tell you, that hurts ...!!

As I said in the beginning, this wasn't about banning him and I'm glad that you weren't asking for that. I was saying that the BST would be perma-closed (vs temporarily closing it cause he hadn't returned) - and I have now removed the BST from view. In addition, I find that Proxygo's request to have the promotional thread and *Hawke*'s signature removed to be reasonable. Done and Done.
