1,000's of giblink members did not get paid out any money that earned. Now one of the creators is trying to sell the site on Flippa. Some of the text from the Flippa auction below. History The site was launched in 2007 and was a pioneer in the social media space and paid membership sites. Paid member totals reached 34,000 users and generated over $15 million in membership revenues from 2007-10 and paid out over $10 million in commissions to members. The paid membership model was based on a "Revenue Share" of the membership revenue AND advertising revenue. Unfortunately advertising revenues never reached a point to make significant impact on the revenue share and combined with the many free social networking sites lead to a steady decline in paid membership.
