beware from luminati residential proxies

after using their residential system i found out that the machine ip that uses their residential proxies is exposed to google . i asked them how its possible and they replied they have a special agreement with google (i wonder what agreement ) .
the whole idea of using proxies is not to expose your ip !!!

im sharing this so you know that if you open google with their proxies your IP is exposed !!

Most proxy providers bypass google. Not something new. This must be there in their agreement too.

This doesn't surprise me much, Luminati is a clown show of a service in general. This is the same place that is selling proxies to be "anonymous", but then asks their customers for drivers licenses and even a utility bill sometimes. Lolol! I was cracking up when I saw them pop up here with a BST. They were one of the first ones to try the "pay for bandwidth" model, and judging by the way I've seen them spamming marketing forums the last 6 months or so, they're not doing so well with it. I suspect they would've been much more successful if they just did unlimited bandwidth like the 95% of other residential providers do, and have done, for the last 10-15 years, but to each their own. I can at least understand charging for mobile bandwidth since a lot of mobile carriers still do charge for bw themselves, but regular residential limits are so high that it's just greedy and silly to try and do it there.
None of that is even remotely as sketchy as what the OP is suggesting. If that's true that could be a pretty big deal, because if Google knew that the IPs were from them and being used to scrape, they would then be able to monitor how the bots and users running them behave and work so they can take additional measures to block them in the future.

Exactly that i was thinking... the "Agreement" can be anything and also why buy proxies in the first place if they are useless because google acquired literally half of the white internet and if these proxies are open to them than what's the point of having them.

Well that sucks. I do not trust Luminati anyways. I wonder if other popular residential proxy providers could have such an agreement with google. Also I would be concerned if using a website with the google recaptcha while on Luminati proxy. Some more reason to not use them.

They are owners of Hola. And hola is well known for stealing data and shit..

So they are basicaly mining for google.

Don't use crap Luminati service as they do those things instead get Genuine Private proxies from Reputed providers.

There is no trust in them even if they utilize your ISP IP as well.

Seems like an Organized malware company.

Their business model is not exactly to hide so I don't think they care much about the users privacy

Could you provide a screencap or some substantiation? Curious as to why they'd even admit this.

Just use it as a poxy, not as salvation.
