Having been on forum for a while and watched many free offers being posted, beware. I beileve a good few of them are just after your email address to spam you.

Only reason I know this is that I set up a new hotmail account to apply for these on BHW and Spam galore on the account.

There may be some geniune offers out there and for them WE THANK YOU but beware.

Proof or it didnt happen, which threads?

This thread is actually lame, even the newest emails get spammed, and if you downloaded cracked software then expect crap and not using a virus checker?? Really

If you dont like free stuff then dont be tight and buy the product or service!

I don't know if it's just me that always suspected it but considering the number one rule on BHW is don't share your niche, unless a pretty generic niche, I never went for any of the free offers as I always had a suspicion some of the members (of course not all) were just looking to see what some of the others members niches were...

Are you talking to me? I think I downloaded around 20-30 wso's / softwares / profile bots so excuse me for not being able to track down which threads gave me which viruses/troians. I did report one that was very nasty to get rid off. It was a bot that visited memberprofiles to increase the PR of my own profilepage, it was not the one from the guy who started it but it was the more advanced one that another member donated (which worked with uBot) the one where you could add proxys and more custom stuff.

9 out of 10 times its a false positve

feel free to send the names of culprits to staff ;)

Car insurance, credit cards and financial software are my niches

Go for it ;)

it's to be expected nothing is truly free in this world.

the name of the game is sandbox any software that's cracked and anytime you sign up for something shady setup a temporary email.

dont u just love arrogance. the OP is just trying to do a public service, ok yes he isnt pointing the finger, nor is he complaining, he is just advising others to be aware , but hey theres always one ( u ) who has to play the big i am card.

you can always a filter option in eac email account right!? :) maybe you could use that option.

ive been a member here a couple of years and download alot from here, as in daily ,and ive never had a trojan or virus ,i joined using my spamming email as this is a blackhat forum but i recieve a surprisingly low amount of spam . you have to use your judgement abit obviously ,4 posts or anything under the standard 10 rep then steer clear . i think if your picking up trojans and your not using an anti virus your pc is living on borrowed time as most trojans are passed via webpages now rather than downloads

actually, the op has a legit point......a lot of malicious downloads are deleted by the download mods....

each one of you should do a vt check on free downloads...and don't give anybody you don't know you're 'real' email

:D

Haha i'm thinking of this every time i see "Free blasts" :) Perfect way to see tons of ideas and free niches... :)

However, to the op: Install antivirus software man and check every link with virus total.

what virus checker is recommended , i mean, whilst were talking about it , might as well ask this.

Totally get what your saying but, open up a new email account today and check it in a weeks time and it will most likely have 100 spams ready for you

I do understand that BHW has quite a few toerags but most people are ok, I know for a fact that some people take an email address for submitting a free service (i.e. directory's) so its not always to the case that a provider is spamming, it can actually be the site that have submitted to

You're right though, a simple rule of thumb is don't give out your email or details

Just check out the person who is offering a service, if it sounds to good to be true then it may just be that
