Between GPU mining and Asics mining choose one

I would personally choose GPU over ASIC due to the following reasons:
  • First, GPUs hold better resale value since there is a big market for gamers always in demand for used GPUs.
  • GPUs can mine ETH along with 100's of other cryptos using different algos, while ASICs are specifically built for a specific algorithm.
  • Once a new ASIC gets released with 100% more hash power over the previous version, you instantly lose 50% resale value, if not more.
  • ASICs are extremely noisy. GPUs are not!
I would go for GPUs over ASIC every single day. But of course, that's based on my own preference since I mine from the comfort of my home, so your situation might be different.

PS: I have been mining non-stop for the past 5 years with the same GPUs, hashing around 2000mh/s on ETH. Out of the 80 GPUs that I originally bought back in 2016, 12 died, and 68 are still running smooth.

ASICS are more adequate for powerfarmers. It depends in your budget and what you are willing to deploy.

If you have like a 50-100K budget, GPU is a very bad idea: you will require literally hundreds and having to sell, will be a pain in the ass (and you will lose a lot of money in the resale), because you will have to sell them through a distributor or a group buy.

But if you have a short budget, like for a little farm (<10K, lets say 5-10 cards), then GPU are the way to go. You will sell them at best price because you could simply sell them on eBay one by one.

Cheaper to use the capital to buy the coin dircectly

GPU minning but did you see the shortage and price rise that resulted from minning?

They are already out in May 2021, as Nvidia imposed the mining hashrate limiter on its new 30's series GPU's. They called LHR GPU's

ASICS, I'd place my money there!
Would suggest you to wait untill Dec 2021, as Proof of Work being obsolete soon.
Ethereum mining will soon be obsolete, as ‘London’ update moves key deadline to December

If you are looking to mine other coins, youre good to go

Yeah, they do.
But there is a crack which is recently launched in the market I heard of it in the market that removes the limit.
But I am not 100% sure it has been in the market if it is there will be too much competition in mining

yes whoever is getting into mining wait there is an update on mining eth on dec 21

Yeah, they do.

Aware of the fact that its been cracked, but still it can get you 75% max of the max hashrate and thats only with certain miners only i.e. with Trex (as far i know)

Would you mind sharing your mining specs

My speed is around 317 hashrate.

Hi! very good testimony, which GPU are you using?
