Betting tipster question

This site has some tipsters to offer.. SOME.

I just find the yields very hard to believe. More experienced people teach me that a yield of 15% is crazy good, and here are 170%s, 100%s.

Can anybody with a little experience comment on this, and maybe tell me about one that is actually worth it, on this list or anywhere (no self-promotion please.).

If it seems to good to be true it usually is and in the case of tipsters it always is.

To be completely honest getting anything more than a 5% edge over the bookies is statistically highly unlikely, they have highly educated teams pricing these events.

You’ll notice the suspiciously high yield tipsters are nearly always tipping big odds (5.00+) this is because variance and luck play a far higher factor. Same way someone can walk away from a roulette table having won 100 times his money, does this mean he has a long term edge over the casino? No it means he is in a positive swing over variance. Also a lot of them tip arbs so these are odds you’ll rarely get chance to get on and if you do your account will be limited very quickly. There is a reason they are selling tips and not just retiring in Caribbean themselves.

In the past I've seen 'tipsters' showing big profits but when you check they have had 1 winner from 10 tips.

Usually it's a correct score 3-1 @20/1. The first 5 tips lose, number 6 comes in, next 4 lose.
Level £10 stakes and you have made a profit, but these are more luck than anything else.
 
Yeah guys thanks a 10% yield with ups and downs i can believe but this top 5 is showing yields from seventy to 150 percent if this would be real we'd all be rich. So the site is prolly bs?
 
1) you won’t get odds they’re submiting
2) mostly when you find a good tipster it will do the shot the next month
 
I check only the 3rd one (bogman), if you scroll down you will see that he has 1340 picks on hockey with avg odds 9.30 and hit rate 62%!!!! This is unbelievable, There is no legit way for somebody to achieve such a hit rate at such odds in a such a long run without reading the tomorrows newspaper today. Which I doubt

These are very high return on investment but not impossible.

There is racing software like proform and horsebase that can produce systems with huge returns a year.

The problem is to get these returns on investment (on horse racing) you need to back big prices runners on betting exchanges as the BSP is usually much larger on outsiders.

This means there is huge amount of runners and HUGE losing runs. 100+ losers in a row happens on a regular basis.

Unless you have a huge bank and total belief you will quit during a bad run.

Seems like a very intelligent response. Any opinions on this?

Cus if this were true just play it very safe like 0.5 percent of bankroll.
 
I really notice they all got these insane ice hockey returns lol isnt it just a flaw in the site..

I found that blogabet is good place for tipsters, there is few good free ones. Same time you could read a nice previews from those that are betting mostly on local games.

horseracebase is the name of the site if you want to check it out. Proform professional is probably slightly better but 5 times the price.

Don't even think about it unless you have an automated system to place bets on betfair. I will warn you difficult during losing runs to start up bot and you will find almost impossible to get a profitable favourites system for high strike rate system.
