Betting Game. Is this possible?

That's why casinos are actually making MORE money since they've added those little signs that show the last 15 numbers that came up, because people's stupid 'logic' that since number 7 hasn't come up in a while, "IT MUST" come up soon. People seem to ignore random probability as mentioned above by the person who posted about coin flipping. Because the coin has come up heads 1000 times in a row, IN NO WAY makes it any more likely to come up tails next.

You're probably better off going with a reliable tipster service, there is an independent proofing service at sports-tipsters.co.uk that ranks many of them, although many of the more reliable ones fill up pretty quickly.

A little bit OFF-TOPIC
Even reliable tipsters aren't so reliable when blackhat tactics come into play. Somebody shared a method here before.

1. build a list of sports betting fans (lets exagerrate and say 1 million)
2. on first game, tell half that Team A would win, tell the other half that Team B would win
3. You are left with 500K in your list
4. on second game tell half the same thing, you'r left with a 250K list
5. 3rd game, same thing, List = 125K
6. 4th game, same thing, List = 62.5K
7. Continue until you have a small amount of fans who think that you are a very "reliable" tipster.
8. Market and profit because by now, they would believe whatever you recommend.

Just my opinion though based on that share by a member. Haven't really gone into sports betting.

I believe you are referring to the martingale strategy. Basically if one had unlimited amounts of money they could simply double the previous bet until they win and then restart at the first amount. The reason this system fails is because games like roulette have a large house edge as well as betting limits. There is no such thing as a winning gambling strategy as long as the "house" as an edge. If however you somehow attained even a 1% edge you could be very profitable. ie. Finding a blackjack dealer who reveals his hole card periodically.
