I was a sports bettor for 3 years, starting around 2017, until 2020. At the beginning of my career, I lacked significant experience, so I had to go through some trial and error to find success and start making money. It's similar to trading stocks, but in this case, you trade odds for value.
My main strategy was to purchase sports betting expert analysis and use it to my advantage. However, it wasn't an easy task as odds would change rapidly, and being quick was crucial to securing profits in the long term. Personally, I placed around 900 bets every month without automation.
The most frustrating and challenging aspect was that I often got banned when making profits in lower leagues. This led to the need for new accounts and wallets, which consumed time and money. The bans became more frequent as algorithms quickly identified professional bettors. Eventually, the frustration reached a tipping point, and I decided to move on to another industry.
While I believe there are still opportunities in this field, succeeding requires exceptional skills, constant vigilance, and the ability to handle the stress it brings. If you were to ask me, I'd say it's not worth starting.
During that time, I was making around $9,000 per month, which was good money, especially as I had just finished school. However, the stress became unbearable at times.
