Betting affiliates ?

What do you think about betting affiliates ? Which are the best one ? Browsed some sites for betting and see that the webmasters place a lot of affiliate links to different bookies. It am planning to start similar site but prefer to stick to just one bookmaker.

Also sorry for the silly question but if a player register from your link and start winning a lot, would you go negative in your affiliate account ? I read some stuff in the betting forums and got confused..

In all good bookmaker affiliate programs there is no negative rollover, so at the end of the month if your account is negative, it is reset to 0 again at the beginning of the following month. Also, I would not stick to one bookmaker, it is pointless. One more thing, out of all my accounts playing per month one or two may have won a slight bit, but not enough to minus my accounts. So do not worry about negative accounts.

Most networks pay you for how much the player pays in not an overall revenue so you're always in the positive.

I do not know where you have got that from, as it simply is not true.

The last time I worked with betting it was, so now you can go negative for a month? Wow that's a great thanks for getting them customers!

I work in this industry and most legitimate sites with a good reputation do what mickyfu said. (zero at end of month)

I'm also a broker so I generally get better rates than most people going directly to the site.

my first experience was with betfair affiliate and after 4 dayys i had about 200$ and they banned me with no reason.. never replied to my emails or anything and never paid me

I'm taking a wild guess here but if you are spamming their link through emails etc, you probably violated the network policies.

Gaming site managers are notoriously bad in general at replying to people. You got to know who the good ones are.

I do alot of poker, but not much betting affiliate. I'll try to best answer your question-- First off I think its an excellent idea to stay with just one bookmaker for a small affiliate. Remember most places have tiers or give higher commissions if you drive more traffic.


The winning player thing is intertesting. I know some sites which just kick the player, others which contnue to reduce their betting amounts.

I actually talk once a week on the phone wiht one of our betting affiliate site manager so I could go more into this.

To answer your last question yes you can go negative, but the question is whether they caryy that charge forward. I wouldnt worry much about being negative. Its pretty hard if you've got alot of players to lose on thses things. But be wary, people can be professional sports betters (I have a few friends that are)

The last thing I got to say is the site you pick is very important. I'm in the gaming business and alot of site that offer alot of commissions don't have a clue what their doing. Most end up in bankruptcy. We see it all the time.

Haven't tried it already but the best way to sustain in such business is to be polite and helpful. It would help in the long run.

I start to do something today, I guess it will be better to start over Affiliate network sites. I'm doing with tradedoubler now.
