High search volume keyword/topic are option to blog about fast to generate traffics from its benefit.
Low competitor keyword takes time to gain search or traffics.

That makes sense, Do you usually try to mix both, or focus on one strategy?
mixing the keyword helps to generate residual traffics on search than banking on a stable keyword which could limit search/traffics.

For a new blog, starting with low competition keywords usually helps you rank faster and build authority. Once your site gains trust and traffic, you can gradually go after the higher-volume, more competitive keywords.

start small, own the longtails, stack topical clusters till u got trust. once g sees u as authority, u pivot into mid-high vols. chasing big kws fresh out = sandbox pain + wasted crawl budget. build slope, not cliffs.

Target high search volume keywords. If you target 100 keywords and work well, you will alt least rank for 10 which is not a bad amount.

Yeah, makes sense. I might try mixing in some lower competition keywords too, just to get traffic coming in sooner.

i would try a new strategy here: go with big competition wors and use google ads for a period. you don t have to invest to much in ads, 10-15$ a week should do the trick

First target low to high search volume keywords, I might try mixing and competition keywords too ,just to get traffic coming in sooner .

Low competitive keywords, always. But never lose focus on the high volume keywords.
Also choose low competitive keywords that are related to your main high volume keyword. That way you will be able to work for your main keyword alongside the low comp keywords.
