better to outsource or DIY link building?

Hi, What do you guys think of outsource or DIY linkbuilding? what's the pros and cons?
I'm asking because if i do it myself i have to buy alot of tools and learn them.

If it's a keyword I can personally rank with web 2.0s + GSA with manual guest post outreach using scrapebox, I do it myself. When I'm going for COLOSSAL keywords, I'll outsource to people I know with trade secrets that can rank things I can't.

The occasional limited homepage link network is nice also

It's simple! if you have the money - outsource it! If you haven't, then there is no other option for you

If you are knowledgeable and have the time then build them yourself.
If you have the funds and find a reputable SEO provider then pay for high quality links.
You have to determine how much time you will spend building links and what the quality will be, then measure that against the cost of a professional SEO service.
