i have been reading many threads stating paypal just su*ks and it got ****ed up so on.i am a newbie and can any 1 suggest some thing better than or equal to paypal .

alertpay is pretty equal. seemed so when i used it.

this is getting a lot tough and confusing. lol. thanx people for replying but pls gimme a good option

a bank account with a debit card? thats way better to me. for getting money online transfer paypal to plimus, its safer there.

Escrow has the right concept, if only it was more widely known and accepted. Unfortunately the creatons that started Paypal have created a monopoly and it makes it hard to do business without them.

They all suck balls including PayPal but Paypal is the king of them all and really hard to do business without them if you are into any online e-commerce or IM. Ask anyone who doesn't have a Paypal account how hard it is to do business without it. And you can't even sell or buy on eBay without Paypal anymore. 120 frickin million people use it, it is convenient and idiot proof for most online consumers.

But there is really little anyone can do about it. There are decent alternatives but none come close to the marketshare of Paypal. When people want to buy shit off your site they want to use Paypal not sign up for some other payment service. It's like trying to sell shit on other auction sites to avoid ebay. Yah there are plenty and you may sell some things but none will ever come close to being as good as selling on ebay.

I been using PayPal since 1999, way before ebay owned them. I got 5 paypal accounts, have had over 10,000 paypal transactions and not once had a problem with limited accounts etc. Sure I have had some jackasses do chargebacks on me but that is the part of doing business. I write that shit off. Even if you take CC as a merchant you run the risk of chargebacks and in that case there is nothing you can do about it.

I use PayPal and Google Checkout, there is really not anything else you need to use.

I agree with the above somewhat. PayPal is the dominating force in online payments and whatnot, but I have learned that they are very trigger-happy when it comes to limiting accounts and freezing payments. That sucks. Check out Google Checkout, but remember that they do not work with eBay. Or just use Amazon.

Check out FastSpring.com E-Commerce, I think you'll like the payment processing service.
