Better strategy for YT.. quantity or quality???

Hey guys,

So I was thinking about the YT marketers that mass upload to YT. I figure they're uploading maybe 100/ daily or less. I was wondering are you guys sending views n likes to those vids or the whole point is to flood youtube with links to your pages. I'm pretty sure bots are involved but are these videos just being uploaded with no views bought or likes? Or is it more effective to have a handful of quality videos n focus on them. Im sure that if you pick one avenue you must stick to it..... either mass upload or focus on quality.

I myself focus on the long-term approach. I believe in building original videos (slideshows) on evergreen topics that can last for years and make me commissions everysingle month.

I focus only on Amazon and Clickbank products.
 
definitely quality over quantity these days. mass uploading is only going to keep getting harder and harder.
YT's spam blocks will only get more advanced everyday. do keyword research, create a legitimate video, and then try to rank it as high as possible. spam videos probably won't rank much anymore. YT's ranking system is now mainly based on quality videos. one of the key parts of it is if people watch your video on average longer then your competitors video then you will most likely rank higher. that obviously means that quality is more important that quantity.
 
i do 25 permutations of each video and go for quantity, however i can certainly see videos ranking better from my mature accounts. i think right now both are good, but in the future quality.
 
I'm going the somewhat legit route with YouTube. I am aiming for the long-term white-hat approach to making money with the site. So I am focusing on quality However, from my experience, you shouldn't focus on spamming videos on the site. Create a couple of authority type videos. Make it the highest quality you can and I can almost promise you that it will end up working out for you.
 
Quality, always over quantity unless you are selling a youtube view service where it doesn't matter the type of viewers.
 
Is anyone making money on youtube from amazon/clickbank ?
 
Currently I'm into YT and tend to lean onto quality over quantity. However, I think I will start pushing both, qualitie in videos and quanity on spreading it out. This is better as it involves both aspects.
 
In my view focusing on quality better than uploading bunch of spam.Just think from users point of view ,if you are user then would you watch such video.I would upload 10 quality videos instead of 100.
 
Personally I would go for quantity, if you want subscribers that is. However if you want that 1 time viral video, then upload QUALITY videos. That said, this may not reach viral unless you put some effort into it.

What's interesting is that my earnings/hour works out to the same whether I make low-quality mass-produced videos or high-quality, low volume videos.

One problem with high quality videos is your constraints. You can only make so many videos in a niche, in my opinion. You also have to really know your niche and there are other constraints too. With low-quality, mass produced videos, there are fewer constraints.

Yes, I agree with most of what you are saying, however having a niche audience depending on your content does not have to be. That said, the bigger your audience, the more time and effort which will be required for each video. It will also require you to take some effort after the video to advertise and begin to gain traffic.

Whereas a low quality video doesn't need a niche audience and can be as low as possible (an example of this is TheReplyGirl) or other low quality vlogs which may seem poor. If you feel like there will be as little difference from mass uploading low quality to uploading great content, i would suggest mass uploading low quality as an option.

Simply because the mass of uploading low quality can often keep you at a consistent level and there is no need to think of a creative new way, however you will have to think of creative and good content for each upload if you go for high quality.
 
If you outsource, it's possible to merge the two. Make quality videos and uploads on your end to have that base covered, but use Fiverr or other freelancers to get 10x as much uploading done, using the quality videos you prepared. The reason a BH approach has been taken to uploading is the WH approach, if solid, only goes so far. If one wants their video traffic to be rankings based, it's the same limiting dependency on Google that's not good for balanced IM in the long run.
 
yup I was thinking like hmmm how much content can I create.

Me and my JV partner have taken different sides on the matter (he does the mass uploading of slide show based vids, i do quality videos with my voice in them).

So far I have one yt acct with 9 videos on it making me about $4-5/a day with 76 UV/a day while my partner gets about 800UV/ a day and has mixed results ($25 on day and $1 the next). He goes through about 300 youtube accts a day (300 times 5 = 1500 slideshow based videos a day just about).

wow thats crazy, yea I'm thinking you go quantity it has to MASSIVE. But I'll stick with quality.

Anyone knows what filters YT uses to detect spammy mass uploads? I'm quite lost here, often I don't see a pattern in how they ban and it seems quite random...

I have channels uploaded weeks ago with over a thousand of videos (they are all similar but spinned, both the video itself and the title, desc and tags) that are still up, while identical copies of those channels (when uploading I checked in MVB the make unique through pixels option) got banned...all uploaded to manually created accounts and using different proxies.

Of course, some of them could have been banned because of flagging, but what strikes me it's that I noticed that often they get disabled at the same time, so to me it seems an automatic ban and not subsequent to a manual review...can it be that Youtube algo looks also at the name of the uploaded files?
