Better quality leads with Facebook Ads

Im running ads for a couple local service area businesses. I have a radius set up of their service area, with a mix of upper, middle, and lower class. We have a low budget or $15 per day. I understand you get out of what you put in and im not expecting 5 leads a day. Im not sure how to put this, but a lot of the leads im getting are from people whos names sound like they' re in a 3rd world country.

Everyone is on Facebook, even if its one lead per day, why am I not attracting the average middle class person at the least?
Your $15/day budget is too low for Facebook to reach and optimize for middle-class leads; tighten targeting with interests/behaviors, add qualifying questions in your lead form, and adjust ad copy to appeal to your ideal demographic.

The $15/day budget is definitely a challenge, but the lead quality issue is more about targeting and qualification than budget alone. I run Facebook Ads for a luxury yacht charter business in Indonesia, and even in a high-ticket niche, lead quality varies wildly depending on your funnel setup.

A few things that helped me improve lead quality significantly:

1. Switch from broad interest targeting to custom audiences built from actual customer data. Even a small email list of past clients can generate a solid lookalike audience that performs much better than interest-based targeting.

2. Add qualifying questions to your lead form. Instead of just name and phone number, ask something specific about their budget range or timeline. This filters out low-intent leads before they even submit.

3. Use Advantage+ placements but exclude Audience Network. I found that Audience Network drives the cheapest leads but the worst quality by far.

4. Test video creatives showing real results or testimonials. Static images attract browsers, but video attracts people who are actually paying attention.

With a $15/day budget, I would focus on one tight audience and one strong creative rather than splitting across multiple ad sets. Let the algorithm optimize with enough data in one place.

With a $15/day budget, Facebook mostly shows your ads to cheaper clicks, which can come from outside your target demographic
even if your radius is correct. Facebook’s algorithm optimizes for low-cost leads first, not necessarily quality.

Maybe your targeting is too broad, try narrowing it down more or focus on interests/behaviors that match your ideal customer. Also, check your ad copy and make sure it's speaking to the right audience.

Increase budget slightly and narrow your audience to get better quality leads
