I just put the finishing touches on my new project, SiteCommander (website here), and now I'm looking for beta testers. Right now I'm mainly worried that the system is too complex or difficult to use, which is why I'm looking for a few more beta testers for feedback (I ran a beta test on Warrior Forum last week but got extremely poor results, none of the testers actually followed through, which is why I'm also trying it here).

Think of SiteCommander as a way to manage all aspects of an online business - it's specifically designed for people who build and make money from websites. Kind of a cross between a simple rank tracker and a project management system. Here's a few things it will help you with:

  1. Keeping track of revenue and expenses, with graphs and useful stats
  2. Powerful todo system with both global and site-specific todo's
  3. Tracking the position of all your keywords in the SERPs and cross-reference with work done on your site
  4. Social page management so you never miss out on updating one of your pages
  5. Organizing your hosting accounts so you always know what's hosted where
  6. Contact management, never lose important contact details again
  7. ...and more, all in an easy-to-use system.

Beta tester requirements:
- Must own/manage at least 5 websites
- Must be willing to actually try all the features, not just register and then leave
- If there are many applicants, priority will be given to Jr VIP and donor members

In exchange for testing you will get:
- 1 free Standard account for 1 year, valued at $239.40. This account allows you to track 40 websites / 120 keywords. If you need a bigger account I can offer a hefty discount.

If you're interested, let me know and I'll hook you up with an account, providing you meet the requirements. I reserve the right to deny requests when I've found 5 testers, or if you don't meet the requirements.

Thanks!

Richard

Approved, looks good!

Hi mate,

Own around 20 affiliate sites, all with different revenue sources etc, right now using excel to really calculate the real revenue per site, would be willing to give it a go to the max. Let me know if i can :-)

Else i will sign up as a paid member, no worries.

Wish you a nice day.

PM sent - Still 4 spots open for beta test!

Also I wanted to let everyone know that there are some pretty huge improvements coming later this week, both some new features and improved usability. It'll be awesome, I promise :) Don't miss your chance to get a free account!

is that having a 5 sites a necessity?

I think 1-2 should be fine to test...

If you only have 1-2 sites you can just register for the Free plan which allows 2 sites and 10 keywords. Registrations are open on the site so feel free to test it out. Only those who want to test with a paid account need to apply for the beta test.

HUGE UPDATE

The second SiteCommander Beta version has just been uploaded and is now live. There are still a few minor features due (such as an easy-to-use wizard for new users, rank change email alerts and a couple more things), and there will probably be many small bugs as it is basically untested right now. BUT, it is a big step up from the last version and here are just a few of the improvements:

- A completely revamped Todo system which now rivals dedicated Todo services
- Tracking of domain expirations and (optional) alerts before your domains expire
- PageRank tracking
- Much improved social network stats, now with daily figures and graphs
- An activity log that shows everything that happens in your account and on your sites
- A redesigned and much more intuitive site & group list
- Bulk import for sites so you don't have to add them one by one
- Probably dozens of other small tweaks and fixes...

NOTE: The site/tour/FAQ hasn't been updated to include these new changes, but they will be updated in a few days. Just make a (free) account and play around with it if you're curious, don't go by what you see in the tour and on the homepage.

STILL LOOKING FOR BETA TESTERS!

There are still a couple of beta tester accounts available. Please don't ask for an account if you don't think you're actually going to use it though. It's no exaggeration that 90% of the beta testers I've given accounts to so far have barely logged in, so I'm looking for people who actually NEED a service like this and want to use it.

do several web2.0's count as different sites ? add me in too .

Hi,
I have been looking for something like this and would like to test it out.
Thanks

I'd be glad to test the service extensively, looks quite interesting. Do you plan an affiliate program?

Sending you a PM shortly.

Yes I do plan on offering a generous affilate program once it's out of beta (should be a couple of weeks or so). Need to find a good solution/service to handle that part though.

Would love to try this if you still have space. I definitely have more than 5 sites plus pbns. I also have domains i need to keep track of. I am a bit of opan organization junkie and I am always trying to find a good product. I Have been using all types of organization software such as excel, whizfolders, one note, evernote and domain punch, etc. Would love to find something i could keep under 1 roof.

Thanks.

Getting some good feedback now and I have decided to let in a couple more testers even though the original 5 spots are long gone...

Hurry and apply before I close beta testing until Beta 3 comes out (at which time I may or may not open more spots)!

Currently not accepting any more beta testers - anyone who wants to try SiteCommander is still welcome to sign up for a free account on the website!

Beta testing will re-open again when Beta 3 is launched in the next 1-2 weeks (if more testers are needed, not sure right now). Thanks to everyone who was helped out so far!

Have tried out the site for a few days now. It's actually really good. The ranking portion of the site allows gives ranking data on google, bing and yahoo and has a good charting feature.
There is a finance area, which I really like, where you can keep track of your expenses AND income for each website very easily without a lot of complicated formulas or anything.
Also a contact area where you can input notes, and it also places your financial contacts in there automatically so that is nice.
The todo feature is also really useful and I have been using that every day.

It's one of those tools that just seems to work the way I think it should. Everything is super user friendly and easy but at the same time, the data and features run deep.

I would suggest to others to sign up for free account and play around with all the features, I'm sure you will find something useful.

I will update this review in a couple of weeks and keep you posted; but so far so good.
