Beta Test my rank tracking software

This is my first contribution to the forum. I am pretty busy but i thought what better place to help me test my new software? It is currently running very well with around 100 users. So i am now allowing 200 more to join.

Features:

  • Google Rank Tracking (US and UK)
  • Bing Rank Tracking (US only for now)
  • Yahoo Backlink and Indexed page tracking
  • Alexa rank and backlink tracking
  • Google page rank and indexed page tracking
  • Ingratiation of rank tracking and analytic's using piwik
  • Keyword scraping (Google instant)
  • Auto retrieve new keywords from piwik
  • Multiple campaigns
  • PDF reports
Tasks for this week:

  • Competition tracking
  • Yahoo/ask serp tracking
  • more countries tracked
  • integration with google analytics
  • email reports
  • google places tracking
Lots of other things are going to be added if you have any ideas feel free to submit them. This is still a young project, about 2 weeks old now. Please report bugs and i will get them fixed.

I haven't decided on a domain/name for it yet. So it will remain at the dedicated ip until i do.

signed up and played around a bit

1) I can create campaigns but can not delete them
2) When I add a keyword how do I check where it ranks in google and bing
3) the scrape more option is good but you need to add check box beside each keyword for bulk add

It will take anywhere from 1 to 30 min (depending on the number of new keywords entered, it uses a first come first serve system) to get the positions of the keywords from the search engines and it will appear in the keyword table once it has checked the keyword will become a hyperlink and you can click to see the graph of the rankings for the past 5 days.

Got some of the new features added and tested.


  • You can now delete campaigns (button is next to export pdf on campaign view)
  • You can now edit campaigns (button is next to export pdf on campaign view)
  • Fixed some CSS bugs causing the buttons to not show correctly in IE.
  • There were 50+ new users, 200+ new campaigns, and 1,400+ new keywords. So i decided to increase the search rate, it is now grabbing results much faster.
  • The keyword scraping tool now has check boxes to add multiple keywords quickly.
  • Also fixed a bug in the keyword scraping tool that would show duplicate results when putting the list together from multiple sources.
  • Fixed the bug that would not let you skip the annoying tutorial lady.
Let me know if you guys find anything else! I plan on giving a free subscription after the product launches to everyone who helps test the product :).

Hi,
I just sign up but I found many pages are not working properly or page not found error I am getting.Just clicked for campaign not working.
 
User Experience Thoughts so far

I logged in and immediately found a red circle above messages with the number 28 to it. Campaigns has a red circle with 0 in it. what is this purpose since I have not even used the program, yet the circle is displayed in red witha number 28 in it and zero in red. can these circle start off just red or not be displayed at all until the first campaign has started. The buttons would be better positioned under dashboard with new campaign and settings placed there since visibility is key and people are already use to the word-press way things are displayed in a horizontal manor this creates a feeling of comfortably and security.
 
pages are at times not re-directly connected correctly and it says skip tutorial but theres no where to read the tutorial.
 
A few of the links are broken, because that feature might now be 100% complete but for some reason i linked the page (prob so i wouldnt forget later). By the end of tonight the 404's should be gone and all pages should be working.

The red boxes: Good catch it was displaying the message count from my inbox.

The tutorial: It is a (very annoying) audio tutorial. Unmute your sound and you will hear it.

May I suggest an email notification when your site reaches a certain position?
Also, to make it possible to track your site in google UK and US at the same time, I do this and I'm sure there are others aswell.

Also you can only submit one keyword at a time, it'd be nice to submit keywords in bulk.

But yeah, I think this is a great project, keep it up!

Great idea! i dont know why i didnt think of allowing both at the same time. Ill get this added in as i add the new countrys.

Eamil reports will be comming very soon (before the end of the week) and so will "client logins" so your clients can login and see their ranks themselves.

Anyone got a opinion on this: Should clients be able to remove and add keywords or should that be left to the account "owner" (us)?
 
Personally I'd prefer it if it was just left to the account owner, but I'm sure it would be different for different people.
Maybe make it an option somehow?

By the way how long does it take to check the rankings?
I've had my campaign in since last night and it hasn't checked any yet :)

It varies it currently is using 10 proxies to do 5 searches each every 10 min. So it will do 300 keywords a hour. But with the huge number of new sign ups the keyword list got very long in a very short amount of time. So it is currently playing catch up. After beta is over i plan on adding more proxies so it does somewhere around 1000 searches a hour.
