I'm looking for something to replace Jetpack (such a resource hog)...I need a plugin that is light, I don't need a million bells and whistles. What do you like?

    Hi,

Statpress is nice but database (statpress table) can get huuuge. Some of my sites, the table was around 90MB . After you delete the plugin you have to manually delete the table ...so I don't really recommend it based on my experience. I will try slimstat

Op thanks for the thread and infoasian tks for the tip

You are soooo right to get rid of JETPACK. This pug ins bundle is a mess.

I have discovered that Jetpack modifies the http headers of my website. I also discovered jetpack slows down page load. Jetpack can also install a new plugin without you being aware of it. Wordpress.com can also spy on us through jetpack.

It adds numerous scripts to your pages even when you don't use jetpack.

    Jetpack is Evil.

It is better to use wassup even if there is not so much details.

I use Wordpress statistics and Slimstats. Slimstats offers more (almost as GA) but WP Statistics has a simpler look. Haven't decided yet which one I'll keep for the future ...
