I don't want Google's code in my site so they can snoop around any more than they already do, so what in your opinion is the best WP traffic stats plugin?

I use built in Jetpack Stats. It does everything I need it to do. For more advanced stats I visit Google webmasters /analytics :)
 
yes Tomsko is right.Built in jetpack stats works perfectly the only problem is it does not show you daily unique visitors
 
I too recommend Jetpack only. as I am using it since 8 months.
 
For my few surviving WP blogs I like WP SlimStat: it has pretty much all the stats I need, so much I took the code and ported to my other custom CMS ;)
