GeneratePress is still top tier for me personally. However, the stock 2024 Wordpress theme is still pretty good and easy to customize to your liking. A little JS/CSS goes a long way.

Give a try to Trellis by Mediavine, I do use since 2019, I would say it's just perfect in all ways, the only downside maybe that U will need to pay annually.

GeneratePress is a good theme and also I have good experience with it. According to your concern this theme suites you well also in the long run too.

I had no problems with advertising, speed and SEO with Generatepress. With a few adjustments, Adsense ads load faster.

Additionally, I think the Kadence and Jannah themes are appropriate.

I moved to trellis by Mediavine. What a scam; they said had all sorts of statistics about increased ad revenue using their theme but it isn't true. They use the same layout 99% of other popular themes use. Nothing changed apart from I got stuffed into their $15 monthly subscription.
