I currently use “Authority” by “MyThemeShop” which is supposedly based on “Matthew Woodward’s six figure blog” as per its description.
Do you think is good?
In your opinion, what is the best SEO performing theme?

I’m asking because I’d like to change It as I cannot even modify the header size lol (checked many forums and so on) and I think it’s going to give me more problems in the future.

I like "lauchify-blockyfi" its easy customize and also free

Your Authority theme is okay for SEO but it’s not very flexible. I’d switch to Astra or GeneratePress for my all projects.

Authority by MyThemeShop is fast but outdated and too limited (like your header issue). For better SEO and flexibility, switch to:
  • GeneratePress – super fast, highly customizable.
  • Kadence – beginner-friendly with modern design.
  • Astra – fast, flexible, great for any niche.
Best pick: GeneratePress for full SEO control.

For top SEO performance and full control, switch to GeneratePress. It is fast, clean, and highly customizable, perfect for long-term success.

I'd like to thank everyone for their replies.
I'm going to try GeneratePress. I saw a couple of reviews and it looks more suitable for me than Astra.

Check Foxiz theme. It's fast, optimized for SEO, and uses elementor so it's easy to customize.

Yes, “Authority” is decent, but if it’s limiting you, it’s worth switching

For better SEO and flexibility, try GeneratePress, or Astra those are lightweight, fast, and easy to customize

If you are used to it, there is no problem. Most of us are using Generated Press, Astra and similar popular options, nothing crazy

The Authority theme is somewhat outdated, and many blogger including Woodward himself have moved on to newer themes like GeneratePress

OceanWP can work best for you.

Themes like GeneratePress, Astra, and Kadence are widely respected for their clean code, speed and flexibility.

I'm using Generated Press, nothing to complain about. But if your theme is working decently, no reason to change.

I've installed GeneratePress but the free version is not leeting me keep the navigation menu stuck on top of the page while scrolling down.

I'm afraid I'll have to install the pro version but not sure if it's worthy as it's 59 USD per year.

Are there any options to modify that without the pro version? I've been searching several tutorials and haven't found any.

I've used Authority before - it's better in terms of structure, but I've also encountered similar limitations in terms of design flexibility. If you're having trouble controlling header size, from an SEO perspective, I'd recommend using GeneratePress and Kadence. They're lightweight, fast, and give you a lot more control without bloating your site. Speed and structure really make a difference in rankings these days.

+1, Kadence.

Astra or GeneratePress are always good options

"I’ve used Authority in the past too, it’s clean and fast, but yeah, the lack of flexibility (like basic header adjustments) can be frustrating. If you’re starting to feel limited now, it’ll probably become more of a headache as your site grows. For SEO-focused themes, I’ve had a good experience with GeneratePress and Astra, both are lightweight, super customizable, and play well with most page builders. Might be worth checking out if you’re looking for something more future-proof.

Like most have mentioned already, it's either Astra or GeneratePress, none of the others come close to these two in my personal opinion and experience. Personally I always go for Astra.
